It's all a bit crazy out there.

The opposition leader was arrested recently. There's photos going around of him having being quite badly beaten up.

It seems the current Georgia government have gotten very pally with Russia.

There's an alternate timeline where centrist dickshits like JOLYON Maugham don't have to write tweets like this because a Prime Minister gave everyone a place to live.

The infuriating thing is that there's nothing inherently far left about it. It wouldn't need a radical Prime Minister to achieve something like that, it should be something that draws support across the political spectrum, apart from bloodsucking libertarian types from dodgy think tanks. It's a huge mistake on Starmers part that he hasn't taken a strong position on something like this. It's reasonably politically neutral, it wouldn't be toxic to the type of voters he's working flat out to court and it would be something that progressives would welcome. There's absolutely nothing for them just now.

Increasingly as well, homelessness isn't one of those issues that happens to someone else. The number of people who are one paycheck away from serious trouble is terrifying. A big vision on housing would be transformational and very popular, but instead we're getting special, super agents as an alternative to Rwanda.

That first line sums it all up. Corbyn isn't far left, never has been - he's centre left, and many of the policies in his manifesto were once in Harold Wilson's.

Hell, a lot of the Scandi countries have these policies, and they're more social democrat than socialist. This is how far to the right the Overton Window has been dragged in this country.

Nothing will happen. It never does. International law has always been something of a joke to anyone who pays attention to history. It's only ever implemented like it's supposed to be when it's against countries or people from countries that aren't powerful enough to resist or dismiss it. Imagine if they put out an arrest warrant for the US, French, or Russian presidents, the UK, Japanese, or Indian prime ministers, the German chancellor, or the chairman of China.

It won't happen to Israel either because de facto it has the power of the US behind it. It's basically the West's spoilt brat - the UN Security Council have passed so many resolutions castigating or condemning the Israeli government since 1967, all of which have been ignored without any consequence whatsoever, because Israel knows the West is still in hock to its Holocaust guilt and its racism and imperialism.

Sad but true. There are a lot of shameless people involved in all of this.

The death of the Iranian president further muddies the waters.
