That is most certainly worth a visit if you like your art and design. Both good shouts! The Bell used to be lovely, a proper old institution of a pub but I heard they refitted it recently removing all the character, so not worth the bother. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted March 13, 2025 Members Posted March 13, 2025 Well I did deviate from my original route and walked to Wood Street and found a fantastic Palestinian/Lebanese place called Mini Hiba. I had the falafel wrap, all came to about 15 quid. Big recommend. Buzzing from the coffee. Might run on the pitch tonight at Spurs at this rate. Quote

In all seriousness though that looks like a jam up place. We had Lebanese food before and were severely underwhelmed but it's definitely one we'd try again. It's not too dissimilar to Greek food which we're big fans of, it was just maybe a rubbish restaurant. Quote

I was very confused by the fact I'm more familiar with the Wood Street near St Pauls and this decidedly does not look like somewhere from that neighbourhood. Quote

Cracking coffee shops, pubs and cafes, plus there's a Percy Ingle! I used to live 5 mins walk from there, it's great! Quote

On a Saturday afternoon we sometimes used to go to the Wild Card tap room for some beers, have a quick look round God's Own Junkyard and then a gin to finish at MR. The whole area got too hipstery in general for my taste, but that part I enjoyed! Quote

Also Sunday, we have a gap between 11.30 and 3.30 for anything else in the Tottenham area (or easily reachable on public transport) as cba to go back to the airbnb between those times. Monday travelling back from Walthamstow to Waterloo but think we're gonna go to the Southbank food Market if its on. Cheers all. Quote

The food market should be on, and it is very good, but if you fancy something a bit different you could try this place. In my younger days that was always the pub we'd go to yeah, but I've yet to take my youngest. If we do go to a pub on a matchday it's usually the Bill Nic due to the proximity of it to the ground, but as we have some time Sunday I might take her in the Antwerp for a Coke* *not that kind, thats more of a Bricklayers Arms vibe Quote
