Hibs never do things the easy way and at times it seemed liked we were going to see one of the biggest examples of "Hibsing" it in recent memory. Delighted they got it over the line. Doesn't get any easier though with Legia Warsaw up next with a place in the tournament proper at stake.  Getting Partizan Belgrade and then Legia Warsaw in the qualifiers of the Conference League is a desperately unlucky draw.

Commiserations to Dundee United as well. Went 2-0 up against Rapid Vienna in the first half only for them to claw it back in the second to bring extra time and then ultimately went out 5-4 on penalties. Another draw far harder than some of the other ties taking place. Fully support all Scottish clubs in Europe (except Rangers of course). I'll  always talk up our game.

One of my all time football heroes.

Only decent quality clip I could find, the music adds something to it :)

I’ve watched this throughout the day and I still can’t decide if it’s a cross or a shot. I guess he’ll say it’s a shot and the keeper will say a cross!

I miss the world of football being so big. The Romanians in that squad were almost mythical. Spurs signing Dumitrescu and Popescu that summer alongside Klinsmann was mind-blowing. Just a shame Raducioiu was a bit of a shell by the time he turned up at West Ham. The days of these exotic names, many of whom you who you only saw in major tournaments and others just the odd champions league game, highlights on Sportsnight and clips on Transworld Sport were wonderful. I know this is such an old bastard opinion but while I envy kids having everything at their finger tips these days, I pity that they'll never know the joy of finally seeing a footballer they've only read about, a TV show that never gets a repeat or has a VHS circulation of about 3, some US TV show that's 8 months out of date, etc.

Funny though, how the world feels smaller than ever, and yet more divided by insular cunts. Maybe that's just my view.

To be honest, I prefer having a supercomputer in my pocket.
