There was talk of Makhachev vs Oliveira 2 being made for that January card as well but it’s been shot down. There’s fights announced now as far ahead as UFC 299 (O’Malley vs Chito rematch). I reckon they’re saving McGregor’s return for 300 but I’ll believe the cunt’s fighting when he’s actually in the cage. Quote

Been seeing rumours of Yair Rodriguez vs Brian Ortega 2 being the headliner. I took the rumours with a pinch of salt but Marcel’s saying it’s looking likely now as well. That Fight Night is gonna end up rivalling tonight’s if everything stays intact. I like the idea of these 5 round co-mains on Fight Nights but only when they’re warranted. Like the original Dan Hooker vs Bobby Green fight for tonight warranted it. And Moreno vs Albazi certainly does. What I don’t wanna see now though, is 5 round co-mains on Fight Nights becoming the norm and we start ending up with shitty Apex cards being even more of a slog. This is looking great so far though. Didn’t even realise they were finally going back to Mexico until the other day. Quote
