Prose Combat is a fantastic album, and France has always had a really strong hip hop scene, helped by their radio play quota (although not sure this is still a thing?). Especially around the late 90s with Solaar, IAM, Saian Supa Crew and things like the Le Flow compilation all doing very well. I've been listening to quite a bit of this Kekra dude, and he has a really decent flow and sound. Quote

I was introduced to MC Solaar back in 2000 by my mate Belgian Paul at uni. Obviously, it didn't get me into hip-hop at the time, but I liked his sound, and all of our circle would hang out at his, getting drunk/smoking weed/playing videogames while listening to his music, amongst others.
