They train under the same team so that's probably unlikely.

Itauma facing Hrgovic or Bakole at the end of the year would work for me. I think he would flatten both, but they would be another step up.

Are they a step up Jim because I'm not sure they are. Forget Fury and AJ they aren't fighting him. Who else at around that level makes sense. Hrgovic went life or death with Adeleye tonight, so he's not really a step up. I'd like to see him fight Kabayal or Parker, or if Frank feels like he can take another potential loss, Dubois. All three of those are probably a pipe dream, it will probably be Big Baby Miller or Otto Wallin.

I think Hrgovic and Bakole could at least give him rounds. Granted, I didn't see Hrgovic's fight this evening. 

I would love to see Itauma fight Parker or Kabayal, and I will back him to beat both when he does face them. That said, I don't mind if he takes on a lesser rated opponent before jumping in with those two in 2026.

Everyone needs to breathe after that fight.

If you look online, it's proof he's either the Messiah or that Whyte is now no harder to fight than a snowman on a summers day.

Whilst I think there's a chance he might actually one day be a form of British heavyweight messiah, tonight proves neither of those things.

Is Whyte washed and cashing out after tonight? Almost certainly. But if anyone thinks he went in there expecting to be, or willing to be, blown away in one round they're off their rocker.

The victory isn't surprising, but the way Itauma went about it is what should impress people. Still plenty to prove, but it's exciting.

I can't bring myself to say it seriously as I sort of want both men to retire with their brains still contained in their heads, but Itauma vs Joyce or Chisora would be huge British shows now.

I like the Hrgovic fight for him next. Hrgovic is granite tough and throws a lot punches without being concussively dangerous, I think thats the fight to actually give him rounds.

Parker/Kabayel are unlikely as neither are gonna want to take that risk whilst Usyk is sitting on top.

Itself hard not to overrate this young lad as he seems to possess everything!

I'd also like to see a quick turnaround as he just fought 120s amd took zero. No reason not to be back put id say Nov at latest.

I'll reserve judgement before I go GOAT crazy ("ahem" True Geordie) as he just iced a corpse ot a figher whom at the ringwalk looked like a guy going to the gallows.

I seem to recall a few years ago a certain Mr David Price getting bigger up after a string of 1rnd  KOs and we all saw how that worked out.

He has also been the 6 rd distance twice remember against those 2 Euro guys in 2023, and I think it was in the 2nd one he started to look abit frustrated as it wore on (obviously was in no danger of losing).

You cant knock them all out and Foreman, Tyson and Lewis all went the distance early on.

Forget Bakole as hes a waste, hes made his money and its gone to his beltline.

Parker cant wait forever, and has been throughly fcuked over!

If its not parker I would  have him fight these 3 next (in no particular order)

Hrgovic, Hunter, Andy Ruiz (that would sell in UK off AJ win)

No point waiting around as no way dubois,  aj, fury usyk will fight him in next.

The division is looking very healthy, outside of the established big hitters there's plenty of good prospects making their way through. 

Ring Magazine's top 10 currently is:

Champ: Usyk

1. Fury

2. Parker

3. Kabayel

5. Joshua

7. Wardley

8. Zhang

9. Bakole

10. Ejagbe

You'd make him a favorite against at least half of that list. The Wardley fight is the sneaky under the radar one, that could be a massive domestic fight in the next couple of years.

The ones I wouldn't book if I was Frank would be Zhang, Ejagbe and Kabayal.

Zhang is too much of a physical freak for a kid that's not got his man strength or size yet, so why take the risk and Ejagbe and Kabayal don't have anywhere a big enough name for the risk they pose.

Hrgovic is a bit meh for me, too. He's just gone life and death with Adeleye, and Adeleye is nowhere near.

Itauma v Dubois, Wardley or - if we're feeling saucy - Parker are the ones I'd like.

They're going to have to match Itauma with Queensberry heavyweights I think, as I can't see any reason why any other sod would take the fight. All risk and zero reward fighting Itauma currently.

Surely Frank will wait until a belt is on the line to entertain Wardley/Itauma. Thing is, there's a very good chance the belts fragment so we could see some wild matchups for vacant belts coming up.
