NeverYield Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I havent actually seen any of it yet so I'll make my own mind up when I do but ive seen someone write 'the setting and the atmosphere was shit, and the scorecards were too wide' Quote

I must admit Kellerman alongside the old HBO squad wasn't bad but his recent shilling is pure head in hands stuff. That comparison will take some beating though Quote
jimufctna24 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Christ, at least it was funny when Mick Hennessy claimed Hughie Fury's performance against Joseph Parker was "shades of Ali". Edited January 25 by jimufctna24 Quote
NeverYield Posted January 25 Posted January 25 So far not enamoured at all with what I've seen on the Zuffa card (YouTube HLs of the Walsh fight) Wand had marked my card about Kellermans outrageous statement on here and it still nearly made me spit my tea out! Someone in the comments touched on the minor detail of fighters wearing company shorts that makes them look like theyre owned, no individuality, no sponsors etc, and I agree with that as well. And aside from that as people had mentioned the atmosphere was dire and the fight wasn't up to much either. Quote

No one beats Mick for big claims. He claimed that Sam Sexton v Nathan Gorman was the British Ali v Frazier. Quote

NeverYield Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Mick Hennessy and his outlandish rambles were comical! 🤣The good old days. Muratalla boxed brilliant against Cruz, who will still in time become a great fighter I think, although he looked outgunned at 135 and got walked down a fair bit, despite getting some good shots off of his own, although lots of it wasn't anything near as meaningful as the work Muratalla was doing who was a joy to watch and the deserved winner. He wants the winner of Stevenson vs Lopez which is happening next weekend and a fight I am looking forward too, January '26 has been a pretty decent month for boxing when you consider Janurary is usually barren. Josh Kelly is also out next weekend against Bakhram Murtazaliev, a hard fight for Kelly, big upset if he wins, I personally find Kelly more flash than substance and find he can admire his own work a bit in there rather than actually getting down to it, Murtazaliev is unbeaten and I feel he may start to run away with the fight in the middle rounds. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted January 26 Paid Members Posted January 26 Fair play to Kelly for stepping up because no one wants Murtazaliev. I agree with you NY, middle round stoppage. Elif Nur Turhan is also on that card. She is a wrecking ball of a fighter. She is fighting some Aussie who you'd imagine is getting splattered all over the Bigg Market Quote
NeverYield Posted January 27 Posted January 27 A welcome addition to the undercard which was all a bit quiet til the other day. Definitely fair play to Kelly for taking this fight, I like to see people challenge themselves. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 28 Author Paid Members Posted January 28 Yeah, looking forward to that. Kelly's career has floundered for years but this feels like a real do or die fight. If he wins, apparently he unifies against Boots Ennis next so the stakes here are massive, both legacy and financial wise. Not sure how good Murtazaliev is, but he destroyed Tim Tszyu last time out as an underdog. Quote
NeverYield Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Hes a pretty solid fighter imo, definitely a challenging fight for Kelly. 100% he put paid Tsyzu, and Jack Culcay. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 29 Author Paid Members Posted January 29 The small matter of an Uncle Turki supercard this weekend too in New York... Quote
NeverYield Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Bruce Carrington and Keyshawn Davis are two fighters I enjoy watching. Quote
