I appreciate you breaking your two year long replying embargo to correct me. It's been a long wait on me tripping up, hasn't it!

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted May 27, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 27, 2020 There are a few good ones for Where Eagles Dare around but this is beautiful.
cobra_gordo
I'm a big fan of modern reimaginings or alternative film posters. These are a few of my favourites, I think most if not all of these were released through Mondo.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted May 28, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 28, 2020 That Jaws one is sensational.

Paid Members Monkee Posted June 4, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2020 I was doing some retro poster designs yesterday for the RAF Museum and was researching styles. I’ve seen these pop up on my Instagram a few times and love the minimalism and simplicity. There’s a good range of them and I think they look great on a wall. They’re available on Red Candy if anyone’s interested.

They do film, TV and location posters. Not strictly a film but one of my favourites is their Soprano's poster.
Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted June 4, 2020 Awards Moderator Share Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) I could lose hours looking at variations of Hitchcock film posters, and sometimes have. It’s no secret that I swoon over North by Northwest so here are some for it with contrasting styles. I love the simplicity of the second and third ones: And a couple of other gorgeous Hitchcock ones: Edited June 4, 2020 by Frankie Crisp
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted June 4, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2020 That Mount Rushmore one is fantastic. Love this alternative one for Vertigo (which is now on Netflix, in case you didn't know), which apparently was designed for a fridge magnet! cobra_gordo
Kinda getting away from them being actual movie posters and closer to the abstract designs but I loved these two enough to get them as big A3 prints and framed. They're both by a local artist called Geo Law. The Pulp Fiction one in particular gets a lot of love when folk come round. I've got this one aswell, by an artist called Shamy Defuma. Think the one I've got is in an A2 frame. His style is a bit more garish but it works really well for Battle Royale so I had to have it. Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted June 5, 2020 Awards Moderator Share Posted June 5, 2020 I went down a bit of an alternative film poster rabbithole in the early hours, thanks to this thread. Found some crackers for some of my favourites: Consider the last one a thank you for starting the thread, @Devon Malcolm
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted June 5, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted June 5, 2020 And a reminder to everyone that its prequel, Ghost Protocol, is on Netflix. So now you can watch it as much as me and Frankie have.
