Fog Dude
No Idea how I managed to put Marseille in Nantes place, I've edited my post and tidied up the whole thing Don't worry about the first bit too much. I think I'd have accepted that as your bet on the Nantes score, but tidying up the formatting is always appreciated. Anyway, somehow none of the 60 matches over the past 2 rounds fell to the weather, so there were plenty of points up for grabs. The results for Week 21 went into the opening post on Monday morning, with the table only figured out and updated on Tuesday evening. A link to it – plus a regular card of 10 fixtures – will follow at the start of the thread shortly. The average haul this time out was 20.8 points, which is a tad on the low side for a treble round. There was also very little to separate best and worst performances. The 3 joint lowest scorers all got the equivalent of a respectable 6 in a normal week, whilst top scorer Rory's total of 26 doesn't even extrapolate to 9 full points in an ordinary round. There's been quite a bit of movement compared to how things looked before Christmas. Stinky has extended his lead, though, to 31 points... and would still be 23 ahead even without bonuses, so the rest of us will have to buck our ideas up. At the other end, Glenryck and Grecian took advantage of ZKM's absence to move further away from the bottom spot. If the last of those in carrying on, he'll start the next round a dozen points behind the remainder of the field. The very first outcome on the list proved most fruitful of all. PRINCE2356 will be especially pleased with Dale's win at Holker Street. Aside from Boro and the North London duo progressing (narrowly in Arsenal's case), most other results from this side of the Channel caught many participants out. No such trouble with the Coupe de France, where only an upset in Sarreguemines and a minor shock at the Stade du Moustoir tended to fool people. There were no draws among our selected ties, and indeed only 2 of them even got as far as extra time. Three were very one-sided, so unsurprisingly nobody managed the exact score from any of them. Astonishingly, 2 of those 3 games involved teams from the same division! PSG may not have been setting the league alight as much as in recent seasons, but they've been as utterly unstoppable as ever in cup competitions. They carried this form on with a 7-0 drubbing of some hapless Corsicans. Marseille also came through an all-Ligue 1 clash, as widely foreseen.
