Moderators PowerButchi Posted November 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2014 I hope they all are busy for a while as, through the hard eyes of fairness, Red Dwarf's a bit shit really. Aged terribly, and the new efforts didn't raise it up much.
King Coconut
Oh come on. The last series was worth it just for the moose gag.
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted November 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2014 Was thinking Hulk Hogan is perfect for this. He could dot around camp all day, regaling camp mates with stories about how he body slammed hostile kangaroos during his Australian tours with the WWF, or how Andre could drink 200 pints of Fosters before feeling tipsy. He'd also be the annoying celeb that would be dismissed from challenges on "medical grounds" that everyone wants to see him do just so he shuts his trap for five minutes. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted November 11, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2014 I wonder how the Brittas Empire has aged? I'd be to frightened to watch an episode in 2014. The funny voices and silly walks might be to much for me.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted November 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2014 It was shit at the time, so it must be absolutely unbearable now. I couldn't stomach a second of Gordon Brittas as a character.
Keith Houchen
Yeah, I never got the love for it, I thought it was garbage. Mind you, I thought the same about Red Dwarf too but that's probably the fans who put me off. You could guarantee anyone wearing a t shirt was smelly. Paid Members Surf Digby Posted November 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2014 Brittas was alright, but never any more than that. I can watch it, and chortle at the odd moment, but its humour is paper thin and it's full of similarly paper thin characters. Â I've no idea if it actually does, but in my mind, it had overbearing canned laughter over gags that weren't actually that funny.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted November 11, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2014 Those old Red Dwarf t-shirts just remind me of a bad smell. These for example just look like they are rancid.
Krytie 2X4B 523P
There aren't any plans for RD XI, non that have been released. The rumours about a new series started when it was released that Craig was given time off from his Corrie schedule. The time off is for Im A Celebrity which would probably make it harder for Craig to get another extended leave anytime soon. Â Im kind of glad, as much as I love the show, its not been that great since series VI (which was originally broadcast over 21 years ago!!!!!) Direct Impact
It's started  Craig Charles "getting put in jail....again" gag made me laugh.  I would of liked to have seen Hulk Hogan in, I'm surprised either I'm a Celeb or Big Brother have never signed a wrestler up. They may not be mainstream but surely more people know them than reality stars or people who have shagged someone famous.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted November 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2014 I think the most Big Brother pays is like £100,000. Don't think they could afford Hogan.
Direct Impact
How much is he getting paid to be a WWE Ambassador? Â Theres other ex stars who probably would do it and not cost as much - Piper/Flair/Foley
Mr_Danger
Can't see Foley being up for free bed and board for a month with a nice little sweetener on top.
