Yep, Russo backtracked. He's now saying the show will still have wrestling content, they'll just no longer review the current in-ring product. Im fairly certain last week he said he didnt want to talk about wrestling at all. Russo and Disco were back to normal, sniping at each other throughout this weeks episode.

They spoke abit about a few really bitter shoot interview Billy did around 10 years ago when he first left the WWE. I want to go back and listen to them now.

I remember this well because it was the first thing I ever saw on primitave Youtube and was excited for the prospect of that sort of thing without realising it would suddenly become one of the biggest sites in the world. Remember recommending it to my housemate but then only really having porn as a fallback use for it because he wasn't into wrestling, and nerd content seemed to swarm it early doors.

On our podcast The Royal Grumble this week, we took the opportunity to look back at the original Goldberg/Lesnar match, as part of a feature we've done a few times called 'Career Mode'. It's a pretty good listen whether or not you remember Big Bill's original run in 2003/4, so please feel free to give it a go and give us some feedback - any is appreciated.

Just to drop this in here, the latest Squared Circle Gazette Radio is now up, for our very first "RuView" - giving an in-depth analysis of Vince Russo written television. We're kicking off with the famed April 10th 2000 episode of WCW Nitro, the legendary "restart show" that saw the formation of Russo and Bischoff's New Blood, Returns, Debuts, Turns, Swerved, Insider Comments, Chaos, Carnage and Bret Hart. Talking Shane Douglas Vs. Ric Flair, a 4 Man Tournament to decide an opponent for Jeff Jarrett, Billy Kidman feuding with Hulk Hogan, Scott Steiner being insane, MEAT, and a whole lot more (believe me). A really fun show this week, check it out and let us know what you think!

Looks like Bischoff's in on the Podcasting gig, he is going to have a show on MLW.   Get your Bischoff Bingo Cards ready kids.

- I don't recall

- Once Ted lost his power, the writing was on the wall.

- I laugh at so called Wrestling journalists.

Second the love for Don Callis on Jericho's podcast. A great guy to listen to, very in depth. Always loved his characters. According to Wikipedia he's also currently the president, CEO and Executive Director of the Manitoba Trade and Investment Corporation. Good for him.

Such bad luck, Callis had. He was going to be in a team with Rick Martel in the WWF, then Martel jumped to WCW at the last minute. He was going to replace Pillman in the Hart Foundation, then Bret Hart left. He was a top guy in ECW, and they died. He agreed to sign for WCW, and they died. His timing was the absolute worst.

Yeah, listening to him on Jericho's podcast and how he was talking about basically any potentially good idea that was going to happen for him in the WWF keep getting canned sucks, apparently with The Jackyl thing he wanted to go out to the Waco compound and film some vignettes, that would have been weird to see.

He's got his own podcast now with Lance Storm called Killing the Town which is a good listen, he has a very dry/sarcastic sense of humour which is pretty amusing.

Kurt Angle was extremely candid on Austin's podcast about his career, home life problems, injuries and especially his drug problems. He seems in such a better place compared to how he sounded a few years ago when he was doing the rounds in media interviews.

Is Lapsed Fan worth it? Just flicking through the Soundcloud and a lot of their PPV retrospectives clock in at over 6 hours. That's... insane? I've got that kind of time to kill in work but only if it's decent funny or decent analytical. I'm not listening to ordinary Joe soaps just do a nostalgia thing for that long in bored monotones.

I liked their clipped together interviews with Dave Meltzer about the Wrestle Mania and Starrcade shows through the years, those were well worth a listen. But their normal run down of old shows I've never tried due to their duration. If the review is longer than the show I think I would rather watch the show.

I may be missing out but haven't been able to put the time aside to find out yet with the other podcasts that I listen to that are more manageable in length and I know I tend to enjoy.
