Bye Bye Silvervision

It finally happened :(

After 22 years of dedicating Silver Vision exclusively to WWE, the WWE and Clear Vision Ltd will part company on the 31st December 2012. Silvervision.co.uk (owned by Clear Vision Ltd) will continue to sell WWE DVDs, Blu-rays and WWE films after this date while stocks last, but we will not be able to offer new releases for sale on our site. SummerSlam 2012 and nWo: The Revolution will be the last new WWE releases we will be producing ourselves.

Clear Vision and its staff are saddened by this news as we have worked very hard over the years to bring the best possible service to all WWE fans and we would like to thank you all for your continued support over the years.

Silvervision.co.uk is looking forward to a new future which will amalgamate all the products and some new programmes of its mother company, Clear Vision Ltd, on one site.

Please be assured this will not affect your current and future orders in any way and you will continue to receive the same great service.

I haven't bought a WWF DVD since the Hulk Hogan set a few years ago. And even that was from Cash Generator. All the good stuff is online anyway, and the prices just aren't worth forking out for. 30 quid to see matches I've seen a million times just doesn't seem worth it. I don't care if its body slams, side suplexes, clotheslines, drop kicks or powerslams that you're after, its not worth increasing your library of WWE events when its basically rehashed over and over.

We've been through this before in 2002, when they discontinued the old WWF line. I'm sure we'll all get over it.

I haven't been able to get on here for quite a few weeks now, so this was an unpleasant surprise.

Looking back to a couple of months ago when all of the rumors were flying around, I wonder if WWE wanted to end their partnership right there and then but SilverVision managed to come to an agreement allowing them to continue until the end of the year.

As for who's taking over the production.... They have big shoes to fill, that's for sure. I would love to be a fly on the wall just to find out what WWE's motives are for ending this business relationship. If it's just short-sighted greed then I suppose we can all look forward to going to HMV and paying

RIP Silvervision

I think the last one I bought was the Rise and Fall of WCW a while back. Like everyone else, I usually look online these days and you can find stuff pretty easy to watch so it's not a massive loss to me personally. Shame will lose their jobs and stuff though. And it was a great place to get stuff from early and fairly cheap for me over the years so it's sad to see it go.

EDIT - Ok that intro video has already been posted but never mind. It's worth posting twice at this sad time.
