UK Kat Von D
MITB and KOTR both have their own identities separate from other ladder matches and tournaments. Just like how Survivor Series and HIAC have their own identities seperate from multi man tags and cages matches.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2015 I like the Punjabi prison cage. And the matches in it were both better than I thought they would be. Â I wouldn't be averse to seeing it again.
Merzbow
You think they could test new ideas down at NXT? Try out a new gimmick match down there first or even just give them their own one just for NXT.

Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2015  Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal? I guess that qualifies as a new one then really. I'd prefer it if every year was in memory of a different wrestler though   It's the Andre The Giant memorial as part of his gimmick was being unbeatable in battle royals, as is my undertsanding of it. Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2015 Oh christ. I'd hate that. It has to be won by a heel schoolboying the face with the tights as well so the feud can continue. Forever.

UK Kat Von D
Â Â Â Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal?I guess that qualifies as a new one then really. I'd prefer it if every year was in memory of a different wrestler though It's the Andre The Giant memorial as part of his gimmick was being unbeatable in battle royals, as is my undertsanding of it. That's a nice sentiment and all, I just think there is more mileage in a different one every year. Savage, Warrior, Piper and so forth would all make for awesome trophies. Â I suppose the main drawback would be that WWE wouldn't want to draw attention to the amount of dead wrestlers on their books

Paid Members WWFChilli Posted December 21, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted December 21, 2015 I'd sooner fresh pairings, insightful storylines (or just something I want to see) and old gimmick matches breathed in some new life, then creating new over the top matches. King Pitcos
If they came up with a new match type, they'd name a pay-per-view after it and people would cry that pay-per-views have the match as the show name and that makes the match happen because of the show instead of organically out of the storyline. Like all the complaints about calling PPVs names like Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Elimination Chamber, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble etc.
