Minor news items that don't deserve a thread

I think you have that solid foundation. The Shield, Wyatt Family, Usos, Primetime Players and Los Matadores are surely what you'd call 'actual' tag teams. They look like tag teams, wrestle like tag teams and are presented as such. Even the more thrown together teams are presented quite well as teams, such as Tonnes of Funk and Real Americans. The Rhodes brothers have their own identifiable looks but the fact they are brothers gives them a decent tag team dynamic. And there's also 3MB for the jobs and comic relief.

But none of them do anything interesting as relates the tag division. The Wyatt Family are interesting depending on what Bray is doing, The Shield are interesting when they're teasing breakups and arguing over who is the best singles guy. Cesaro's interesting when he's spinning a big man around. Brodus and Albert are finished. Los Matadores might as well be finished, because they've done all they can do without turning into a jobber team (which is basically have fifty matches against 3MB and ten against the Real Americans on weeks when WWE doesn't want to push the Real Americans). A tag team division with one interesting team is better than one full of bodies but with nothing happening.

Miz and Morrison were pretty much the tag team division by themselves at one point, and their segments were far more interesting than ten Usos vs Shield filler matches. Same when Jericho/Edge/Big Show/Miz were superteaming and had little to no decent opposition besides DX.

The foundation for a decent tag team division is there, but the execution isn't.

If the rumored Roman Reigns face turns plays out, there have reportedly been talks of having NXT talent Mason Ryan fill the vacant role in The Shield.

Nothing is confirmed as of this writing but it has been discussed in recent creative meetings.

Can anyone remember that old WWF magazine which had Lex Luger and Michael Jordan on the front cover together? What was it all about? Did Jordan actually speak to the WWF magazine?

Just dug out my boxes of WWF mags. The story behind this is that Lex, Jordan and a whole host of other US sports stars were involved in a travelling roadshow on behalf of a US health company aimed at young sport stars giving advice on training techniques to avoid injury and giving info on rehabilitation.
