You can bet any money whatever it is, Alex Shane will play a pivotal part in it. Sounds promising though, TNA has really built a bit of a fanbase on here. Quite a few people I know outside of the wrestling circles watch it or their boyfriends watch it, I think Hogan has been a huge reason for this too. It's incredible how much of a name he still is over here. It seems he's a bigger name here than he was 10 years ago.

In case anyone's interested, CM Punk did a "out of character" interview with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. He does talk about MMA, but also discusses the state of wrestling at the moment, and his upcoming match with the Rock at the Rumble this weekend.

A decent interview at 25 minutes long or so.

Here's the one mentioned at the start of the above interview as well:

Both worth a listen.

WWE.com says there will be an 8 man tournament on NXT shows on the weekend for a place in the Rumble. Surely Langston or someone else whose appeared on Raw/SD already, to win?

Well they have been featuring guys like Mcgillicutty and Camacho etc on NXT so maybe it'll be one of those. But yeah more likely Big E.

Well, it's a great way to debut someone if they go on to do something with them. They could have him doing some crazy spots for a bit, and then have him eliminated because he goes to the top once too often.

I thought the former Consequences Creed was Sabian for a moment.

If NXT is still running in it's same format this time next year, I'd like to see them repeat this tournament idea but tape it early enough that it plays out on TV. Interesting concept.

Can't see a win for Grey, Woods or Harper (for various reasons), but any of the others in with a shout IMO. Bo Dallas they're clearly high on & has the familial background that can be used to make a connection with TV audience, Kruger & O'Brien have interesting enough looks/gimmicks to register (O'Brien has the advantage of having been on old, nationally-televised NXT too), & Neville for the high-spot reasons people have pointed out.

I'm going to go with Graves, though. Talk has been of him being the next "big thing" in NXT, & he's another with a look/gimmick that with stand out a little. I've enjoyed what I've seen of him since he's been more prominent on NXT. Never saw much of him as Sterling James Keenan, but I like when they do things like give a guy a punky, alternative look & gimmick, but have him be a technically-proficient submission specialist in the ring. Obviously you couldn't do it with everyone, but it's nice every now & again when people buck the trends of "jeans - looks like a brawler" or "technical wrestler - singlet & boots."

Do New Japan release any of their events on DVD? I would love to collect their stuff but can only seem to find dodgy DVD-R's on eBay and such.

If I had full access to NJPW, DGUSA etc I think I would sack WWE and TNA off.
