Paid Members Monkee Posted February 21, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2016 There's a huge cast so there's still quite a few to tick off my list. I've met 22 of the main actors though. I'm going to another reunion in Bastogne (Belgium) in December though so hopefully there'll be at least 3-4 I've not met yet.
Ladiesman345
g  Got this amazing gift and can't keep my hands off it. A 35 Inch Hulk Hogan. Don't ask why I plumped for a Schindler's list effect. Edited April 6, 2016 by Ladiesman345

Ladiesman345
She actually got it off Amazon, Â but was it just Hogan you saw in Home Bargains? I want a Randy Savage one!
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted April 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2016 Home Bargains stores up and down the country seem to be full of these giant Hulksters, struggling to shift them it seems. That's a lot of shelf space!

First time was when he jumped out of a plane in Devon for charity. He was rather ill after it... What were you working on? I saw Cryptic (he wrote & directed it) recently and really liked it. Another BoB guy was in it too - Phillip Barantini.
Paid Members Monkee Posted April 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) This was me earlier today with the sign for Pripyat - the town nearest the Chernobyl explosion. Â Edited April 8, 2016 by Monkee

Paid Members Monkee Posted April 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2016 I know of it but not seen it - not my kinda film. I was looking up at apartment windows today wondering if I'd see any faces looking back at me though.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted April 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2016 Oh, don't watch it, it's dire. The only interesting thing is that it's shot in Pripyat, which gives it a creepy atmosphere that it doesn't deserve, and is very exploitative. Paid Members Monkee Posted April 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2016 It does have a very eerie atmosphere. The amusement park has like a roundabout-swing thing where the seats still rotate in the breeze and the metal squeaks. That was a bit off-putting as I walked past today. Â It's strange because I went to Auschwitz a few years ago and it's a similar feeling of emptiness. Obviously not the same but when I went into the school today there's all these gas masks piled up in the corner of the cafeteria and it reminded me on the piles of shoes at Auschwitz. The decaying belongings of a once thriving community.
Paid Members Linus Posted April 9, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 9, 2016 I went to Moscow by road in August 1986, four months after Chernobyl exploded. We passed within 250 miles of the site but were given no indication that anything was out of the ordinary. As a 14yr old I just didn't think about it. Scary now. Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted April 12, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Out of curiosity Kat, does it say 'fuck life' on your wrist above your watch? I can't quite make it out. Â You have possibly addressed it before, but like I say, just curious. Not a bait/dig.
