Fed up of this thread/argument being brought up.

Can anyone write some alternate history where it stays dead and buried? Ta.

Just to say I love Power Slam. It always seemed to be a "thinking mans" wrestling magazine. Fin Martin rarely gets it wrong. His reviews are usually spot on. If anyone can write a history of WWE or even pro wrestling, it should be him.

We really need the picture of Fin and his greasy hair on a motorbike posted now.

Powerslam is now the wrestling magazine version of Eastenders. A depressing journey that your sure to feel more depressed after reading than you did before you started reading it. Yes well done Fin Martin is great with the facts and the history. Trouble is he or his Journo's have hardly anything good to say about what is going on today.

I seem to remember not seeing anything what so ever about when The Rock returned before WrestleMania. Where they teased with the woman getting out of the Limo etc... No Powerslam concentrates on the nagative.

The "What's going down" part used to be so much more informative and unbias. Now it is short and takes digs as many times as it can. And the "And I quote..." part of the Mag is negatve and purely designed to mock and look for mistakes.

As a sharer of his opinions on the style and state of current mainstream presentations, I think his magazine is all right. He needs to stop bashing Flair and putting Mizanin over though. The little cunt.

It's stuff like his constant trying to create his own terms for things that bug me. John Cena's NPSTF for example.

Also the recent issue where he interviewed Jericho, one of the questions was worded in such a way that you know there was no chance he asked it to Jericho. He had clearly added in a smarky bit at the end. I can't remember the exact quote - will need to check when I get home from work.

Last issue I read contained an obituary for Steve Williams where they filled the first third with copy I'm sure I read 5 years ago nostalgising about kayfabe and the dismantling of the old regional system. Disgraceful stuff. Call me naive but I thought obituaries were meant to be about well, you know, the person that died and not an excuse to belt out any old shite they kept on file.

Me and my mate have found a use for modern day Power Slam. We call it the Bound For Criticism series. When we see a new issue of PS in WH Smith, we each grab a copy and then see who can find an anal criticism the fastest. It lasts seconds.
