Prior to Bellator booking the bout with Slice, Shamrock said he eagerly pursued a trilogy fight with fellow MMA legend Royce Gracie – a bout Gracie is also interested in. After being asked if he'd be interested in a fight at this stage Gracie replied "of course! Body feels great, no injuries, I'm still the same weight I was 20 years ago. So, yeah!" The vets have a history stemming from the early UFC days, and Shamrock said there’s still a grudge to settle. That’s why, before even thinking of retirement, Shamrock said he wants one last showdown with Gracie. “Royce Gracie is the one I want to fight; I mean it’s been a long time coming,” Shamrock said. “That second fight that we had, he’s the one saying, ‘Oh it was a draw. It was a draw.’ And I think anyone who watched it knows it’s not. But in my opinion, man let’s do this third one. “The whole tour that I’m on right now when I came back was to get fights that were unfinished. And Kimbo jumped up, I got that. Royce has got to be the next in there. I want that one so bad, but I don’t want people just to think this either, because if I ever get the opportunity to fight Kimbo again, then I’m going to jump at that. Because in my opinion, man, he got lucky. But whatever. He won the fight. I give him props to it.” I had mentioned earlier that I'd love to see Shamrock and Gracie compete in a Metamoris bout or something similar, but this could work! Make it happen Bellator!! Did anyone see last week's Bellator? pretty listless stuff, Kongo did his usual ground and pound routine (Kongo still somehow manages to be billed as a kickboxer), Dave Rickles was killing John Allesio before landing a blatant illegal knee that resulted in the fight ending in a no-contest, Pat Curran got back on the horse in a routine victory...and then there was this: Hisako Kato absolutely flattened Joe Schilling with a superman punch KO. Surely one of the upsets of the year in terms of how it happened, Kato was surely brought in as fodder. Who the fuck is he? Schilling literally bounced off the canvas. All tape delay but still, better than nothing. They've really got to sort out the delay though. Kimbo vs Shamrock being shown a fucking week later is a joke. Even Bravo weren't that shite. Quote
the_mole Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Yeah its on free view and replaced VIVA, they usually show combat sports on a Saturday night, Bellator, Glory, BAMMA (Live) PBC Boxing that Spike shows except when they have a big British name like Amir Khan who sells his US fights live to Boxnation or whoever. Think Hennessey Boxing is on there live too Quote

Allesio was done at that point too, if Rickles had just punched him 1 or 2 more times the ref was gonna step in. Rickles is great value to watch though, some people might not like the antics but he entertains the fuck out of me. Quote
