I just uploaded that myself. That's how badly I want this to be seen. I hadnt seen this since about 1998. The next episode of Saturday Night, Road Block is sadly using a power slam as a finisher. Someone must have told him "you can pack that in for a start."

Dillkid time, I've actully spent this week reminiscing about the Rochester Roadblock and trying to find all the footage I can, although it's hardly in abundance. The story of how he came into wrestling is the absolute dogs bollocks.

Indeed, him vs 911 on Saturday Night is a 5 star match. Possibly 6.

911's contract with WCW is the best and most hilarious case of "look how minor league ECW is" ever. Bischoff only signed him to put him in a squash with the Giant on Nitro, to show how smaller and to show 911 getting chokeslammed by the bigger star.

Those old Saturday Nights have some random pairings on there. Stevie Ray vs Mongo is wrestlings version of an Eli Roth film. Pure torture porn. Luger and Nash vs Bryan Adams and Virgil had to be someones idea of a gag as well.

He also seemed to change names every week.

TOMBSTONE! BIG AL! Big Al being the best wrestling name ever, for sounding like someone you know from the pub,  along with Black Terry and Rob Puff.

Meanwhile... this is bizarre. WCW snow battle royal from 1999, with the most eclectic array of entrants. Top stuff!

WCW certainly did hold some shows in some bizarre places - on a pool in Club La Vela, on a street, at the Disney studios with the hotel and street settings and on a beach. I think they look really cool, like WWE's old Tribute to the Troops shows. Just add a different aesthetic to things.

Brock Lesnar vs Mr Perfect Dark match

Stuff like this is the reason I'd love to just spend a week or so in the WWE archives. You'd assume with being a dark match it would just be whatever the hard camera is, but that was fully edited with the WWF watermark and everything. Edited by WyattSheepMask
