Vice
I watched The Goonies last night. It's pretty enjoyable throwaway fun, nothing more.
Mr. Seven
In a bid to avoid going out over the weekend and stave off my growing alcoholism, I rented out a whopping four movies and for once managed to actually watch them in the alloted time. Â First up was I Love You, Man which I hadn't even intended on getting, as it turned out for an extra
Vito
Third on the list was Punisher: War Zone which wasn't as fun as I was expecting. The violence was inventive and Dominic West was awesomely over-the-top, but it felt a little rote. Sure I wasn't expecting Shakespeare but it just seemed a little dull. Props to the inventive murdering though, I nearly cheered when Punisher wasted the Parkour guys, and there was plenty of fists and chair legs put through faces to keep things interesting. Punisher:Warzone is everything an action film should be, a ridiculously high body count and dozens of fantastic novelty deaths. Did you notice how every foreigner in the film fluctuation beween their supposed nationality and Irish? The Jamaican Parkour guy alternated between Jamaican and Irish and the Russian mob leader started speaking with a heavy Russian accent only to then switch to Irish in the very next scene. Mr. Seven
I believe the dreadlocked black Parkour guy was named McGinty. His accent was incredible. Steve Justice
Once upon a time in America. Â Man that film goes on. Over 3 hours. Â Donnie Brasco Knockaround Guys (not of the same caliber but still good fun) Blow is pretty amazing to. Although not really so much of a gangster movie. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 26, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted August 26, 2009 The Usual Suspects isn't a gangster film. Â You shouldn't really look any further than Miller's Crossing.

The main story is meant to revolve around the execution of a multi-million dollar heist. Heists are pulled off by gangsters

Also the plot and style of the film are nothing like gangster movies.
ultimo the great
Goodfellas - been wanting to see this for ages but not got round to it, loved every second! i have the godfather trilogy too which i aint watched yet  anyone recommend any similar italian mob gangster films apart from scarface? Not so much italian mob films more just from the Gangster genre  State of Grace King of New york The Untouchables Mean Streets Casino Carlito's Way Road to Perdition White Heat  Stuff i hear's good but haven't seen  A Bronx Tale The Funeral Little Caesar The Roaring Twenties  As for Once Upon a Time in America i didn't rate it at all, Robert De Niro and James Woods give excellent performances but it's fantastically flabby and drags so much. Gladstones Bitch
DRAG ME TO HELL Â I'd been waiting to see this for ages as I'm a big fan of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead films so I was hoping this might match there greatness. I enjoyed the film overall but it didnt come close to his early Horror film and the comedy parts in this didnt sit as well as in earlier films especially near the end.
