AshC Posted Thursday at 12:06 PM Posted Thursday at 12:06 PM I always thought it was just a different name used for the same character. Quote
Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted Thursday at 12:53 PM Paid Members Posted Thursday at 12:53 PM I nominate Babu, manservant to Tiger Ali Singh. I've just checked his Wikipedia and apparently he lasted 9 months from August 1998 - April 1999, which I find astounding given that no bugger seems to remember his existence at all. He had a total of 3 TV matches, 2 of which were on Heat/Shotgun Saturday Night. Babu seemed to debut, immediately appear into obscurity without doing anything of note and then quietly binned. Interestingly, the guy who portrayed Babu, is Ecuadorian and that could be one claim to fame for the lad as I can't think of any other WWE guys from there. Quote
Chili Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM (edited) I want to add Muffy Mower. Probably the most forgotten WWF 2000 character that wasn't Mandy the Ho that wasn't Victoria. Muffy was Stephanie McMahon's personal trainer who made three appearances all in one week of TV in April 2000 and was then off TV. Rumour was always someone said why would Stephanie need a personal trainer, which if you ask me, a billionaire brat probably would. Maybe her then on-screen hubby thought why their wife (or THEM, definitely them) would be with someone who needed that. They're probably that thin skinned and weird. Ask Kurt. Anyway, Give it some Muff! Edited Thursday at 02:47 PM by Chili Quote
Big Bully Busick Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM Poor Terry Gordy and the Executioner gimmick wasn't around for long Quote

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM Paid Members Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM Let's not turn this into a Wrestler birthday thread, but one more. Dan Spivey is 74 today. I honestly thought he was older. Quote
Chico Torres Posted Thursday at 11:35 PM Posted Thursday at 11:35 PM Xanta Claus showed up in December 95 and was gone before the darts and Worlds Strongest Man had concluded. After the less than successful Shockmaster run in 94-94, our Fred was back in the WWF as Typhoon in the summer of 1994 and couldn’t have lasted more than a month. Had matches against Yoko and Diesel and was gone again. Not sure if it counts because they were always sort of around even if they weren’t on tv but in 1996 The Bushwhackers returned for a last run with slightly different gear and accompanied by a kangaroo mascot (our man Lombardi again) that predictably didn’t last long. Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted yesterday at 08:32 AM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 08:32 AM (edited) CW Anderson was signed by WWE in 2006 as part of their ECW reboot. One 2-minute loss to CM Punk and that was him done. Unrelated, I was just looking at CW Anderson on Wiki and the quick turnaround on this made me giggle. A true wrestling retirement; Retirement (2020–2021) On June 19, 2020, Anderson announced his retirement from wrestling.[26] In a video posted on his Facebook page crying, Anderson stated that he was ready for the next chapter of his life to begin, and felt like he had lost sight of what's important in his life.[27] He also stated that he had no plans to appear on any podcasts or interviews, feeling that it was time to fully move on from wrestling.[27] Late career (2021) In 2021, Anderson came out of retirement Edited yesterday at 08:38 AM by Lorne Malvo Quote

And bizarrely got a new pair of Hasbro figures - ok, not alot to do as they were just re-paints (and a head swap) but they did mould special caps for them too. Quote

Roadkill and Tony Mamaluke also stopped by the relaunched ECW brand for a few appearances, but I don't think either did anything of any real note. Quote
Chico Torres Posted yesterday at 03:46 PM Posted yesterday at 03:46 PM Few more that come to mind Dustin Rhodes in his first run in late 1990, he was gone after Rumble 91 Shane Douglas who has become the most influential man in wrestling in 2026 because who doesn’t love a SHOOT PROMO despite being an amalgam of both Hale and Pace. His first run in 90/91 was nothing and can’t have been more than a few months, and Dean Douglas didn’t last much longer in 1995. Now that his infamous documentary is coming out, it reminded me of Man Mountain Rock who didn’t spend much time there in 1995 but thankfully did record our new generation heroes fucked up on pills. And the same would apply to others from around that era like Rad Radford, Mantaur and the legendary Tekno Team 2000. Quote
