Superb from the Toffees tonight, the last 8-10 minutes in particular showed tremendous game management to leave Newcastle resorting to shithouse antics just like they did after their consolation against us on Thursday

Just hope we keep it going on Friday against Coventry to go into the break back on the right track

Mate, what are you doing? 😆

The thing is, the football discussions have long been one of the best things on this forum, there are some really knowledgeable people on here that have really interesting things to say (yes, even the Arsenal fans* :) ), but the way you post in here is embarrassing quite frankly and as said, it's the sort of thing you'd hear off a teenager on Twitter or Reddit.

Calling Liverpool fans victims proves you're a bit of an idiot. If you're a grown adult, you really should be embarrassed.

*Mim, Hallicks etc all good lads, and even though he doesn't really post here anymore, don't worry I still give Punkstep shit daily.

I said the club love playing the victim, I never said nothing about the fans. So now you want to go personal with insults, if you don't like what I say, don't read, it's very simple.

I have no ideas about the posters who you mentioned. Good for them.

If you have a problem with me, talk to me one on one on DM.

We're waiting for your reviews of the Fleetwood and Brighton games.

Because you have the opinions of a 15yo and shit up the entire thread. I come on here to read interesting opinions and debates, not some fanny talking about "rattling fans lolololol" like Twitter.

You're right, I'll take that advice 👍

I can't say much about the Fleetwood game as I never watched it due to my daughter being in hospital. The Brighton game, I can as I was there, we were absolutely useless, deserved to lose and were fortunate not to lose by more goals. That one was painful during and after the game. Hey ho, usually always a bad moment here and there for us all.

I said nothing about Liverpool fans. Again, you are clogging up a thread with your talk, you know what to do, it's very easy. I'm going to say this one time to you, don't go personal and insult me again on here.

Public responses to public posts are a perfectly ordinary part of a thread's transparency and progression, especially when the subject matter is still very much on-topic and it is clearly a shared feeling.

I am - however - up for calling the next Spurs/Arsenal thread The Thunderdome.

As a Newcastle fan, last night was such a depressing watch. Even more depressing than the hammerings by Leeds and Coventry, in a way.

Expected a response after the League Cup exit performance and got absolutely nothing. No final pass or even an idea of what to do with the ball in the final third. Scarily easy to play through. It got better with the substitutions later on, but we never looked like scoring and Everton could have been out of sight by then.

Fair play to Everton, they managed the game well and were good value for the win. We need a result against Fulham at the weekend because there is an awful run of games coming up after the international break. Not convinced by 'Matthias Jaissle' or his 'vertical football', I must say.

I think they'll be fine, and it's not the same situation and I'm not one to jerk my knees, but you only have to look at Spurs and Frank last season to see that a situation that keeps sliding then becomes very hard to stop the momentum. Newcastle, and all other big clubs, should be very wary of that.

Obviously the two Manchester clubs will occupy two of the relegation spaces, but the third is anyone's :)

Manchester United cant keep a clean sheet at the moment. Tonight they play Roma who are banging them in. In recent games they have had 5 against Udinese, 4 against Cagliari, 3 against Real Madrid, 3 against Napoli, 2 against Inter....

Former Villa man Donyell Malen has 8 goals in 9 league appearances.

Could be a reverse of the 7-1 game from 20 years ago!

Sometimes the worst thing about being an Arsenal fan is other Arsenal fans. Christ.

This thread (and board) really needs a @PunkStep and @Steve Justice return.

More fantastic news for us with William Saliba back in first-team training. I wasn't sure if we would see him appear again for us this year, so hopefully if he has no setback, we can see him back very soon in our colours. Konsa has done brilliant for us in Saliba's absence, but having Saliba back in the squad will be a big boost for everybody. I expect a few changes for  the game away in Prague tomorrow night, White, Hincapie and Eze most likely coming in for Timber, Calafiori and Tzolis respectively, possibly Gyokeres as well for Havertz. We just need to get the win going into Saturday's game against Hull City, do what we need to do there and go into the international break still top of the table. I go for 0-2, Odegaard and Gabriel with the goals.
