Opening tag match was fun and the main event was really strong I thought. Skipped through the other matches but will probably check it out properly tomorrow. 

Faby Apache is very good from what I have seen of her in the past so hopefully she is not completely jobbed out going forward.

I started watching it late on Saturday night before I fell asleep, just because it popped up on YouTube. Other than the three amigos being the first old arses you saw on the show, the opening and look and feel was different and seemed somewhat respectful to AAA. Penta coming out and cutting a promo in Spanish did too. I got enough words that I could follow it but I liked that they didn't insult the audience and let it go. Then we got into more of the WWE announce team and it lost all appeal. Graves was the plug-and-play-by-play guy sounding like every bit of announcing of WWE does, perfectly prepared but lacking in any heart or spontaneity. It could be AI. JBL looks like he's been stung by a swarm of wasps. Poor bastard alright? Konnan brings something different. Often he's terrible, stumbling or thinking in silence but he does feel like someone who is out there to give his own take on what's happening and it's welcome.

I fell asleep, woke up Sunday morning and stuck the end of the main event on before I went of to footy. Mysterio is a bit of a revelation isn't he? His work is only OK but miles better than the last time I watched him but his character work is outstanding. He's such a dickhead. I'm not quite sure how that chimes with a crowd who popped huge for him and hated Vikingo but otherwise, you can't fault his stuff. He's a genuine success for their development system, isn't he? How much of that is down to what they do and how much is down to working with Rey in those early years, I guess you'd have to ask them but he looks a legit future WWE Champ.

I'm not sure that he is - he didn't come through NXT, and I'm not sure how much time he spent at the Performance Center. He trained under Rey, B-Boy and Konnan, and later under Lance Storm and Jay Lethal; when he debuted in WWE, PC classes were suspended because of the pandemic, and because the PC had been converted to run shows.

Dom is definitely one of my favourite guys in WWE to watch, especially from a character perspective. He just gets it. His in-ring stuff only needs to be as good as it is because he's in WWE and they don't care that much. It'll be the heel work that gets him through. Dare I say it, it's very much the Eddie line of loving to hate him, and that's a really great talent to have.

Good memory, cheers. I'd forgotten most of that. Someone they've done a good job with getting to this level, then, to credit where due.

I'm not overly bothered about great matches, I've certainly no time for anyone who has a rep for good work but nothing behind it - like a Josh Alexander to pull a name out of the air - but I do like to see people who work in-ring to the level of their character work and Dom is just a bit generic. Good at it, and I completely agree that they don't want or need any more from him, but for a guy who has shown such great ability to develop and sell a character, I think he could incorporate so much more and be so much more fun to watch wrestle. 

I was tempted to throw out a question about match recommendations after reading some nice stuff about him on here at times but it's just pointless because I already know what they'll be and it's not for me.

I know it matters less nowadays than ever before, but I really believe that if Dom could pack on some muscle he could become a top guy in the business for a long time. His physique currently suits his chickenshit heel persona perfectly, but I feel there is a ceiling for him looking that way. If he could thicken up I'd totally buy him as a world champion in time. He just doesn't need to go full Guerrero with it.
