Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 16, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 16, 2025 Absolutely beautiful venue that. And exactly what they should be doing. All these unique venues brings a different, unique vibe that makes AEW feel visually like an alternative to the generic nondescript arenas we've been seeing on 99% of wrestling telly for the past two decades. I zone out whenever Shane Taylor Promotions are on screen so I missed this happening! Agree with @LaGoosh on the venue. It looked great and I wish they’d timed a Collision taping for when we were there last year. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 16, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 16, 2025 Wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out that either Roddy Strong or Cash Wheeler got a concussion in that main event. Felt like there was a solid five minutes near the start where everything was going wrong, as if one of them was knocked loopy. Dax looked furious. Kyle just looked bemused. They got there in the end though. Great match. AEW have quietly developed their tag division recently. Loads of teams I’d love to see challenge the Hurt Syndicate. Agreed that the venue was once again incredible. Powerhouse Hobbs looked the business coming in through the crowd. I looked it up on WrestleTix, and it only held 2,000 people! With the way the balconies seemed to go on forever, you’d imagine there was at least five times that! Whoever’s job it’s been to scout these new venues, they’ve worked miracles. Is it Double J? Bet it’s Double J. Ain’t he great. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 16, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 16, 2025 There was a single uncut shot at the beginning of the show that started at the doors of the venue then went through the entire building and around the ring. Was very impressive, no idea how they did it. A drone maybe? Quote
The King Of Swing Posted March 16, 2025 Posted March 16, 2025 Did I hear them right that there is TWO episodes of Collision, next week? Come on TK, there is only so much Colliding, I can handle. Fun little episode this week. Quote

Same here. I think Cole/Undisputed Kingdom are finally where they should be in the AEW pecking order. Just outside of the main event going after the TNT and multi titles. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 17, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 17, 2025 Mark Davis is a pretty decent bruiser, just needs to come up with a look/character. His straight black trunks is pretty dull. The match with Mark Briscoe was surprisingly great. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Problem is in AEW, the bruisers have a very clear ceiling. Mark Davis, is a solid worker but won't go anywhere. Brodie King is even better and actually over with the fans, and even he can't really break out from being a tag/trios guy, who occasionally puts over a top singles guy. Not a bad spot to be in of course. Quote
Merzbow Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Brody King should be a main eventer, he's more than good enough but yeah AEW is bad at keeping big men strong. What number push is this now for Hobbs? Quote

It's ok to have a ceiling as long as you have a steady role and add something to the shows. Quote

Doesn't even need to be the world title, a run with the TNT title could be great. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 17, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 17, 2025 Yeah King is great. His promos are a bit ropey though, that's the one hole in his game. Quote
