She was supposed to bail when Thunder Rosa approached with the chair which is why that finish looked so bad. GREAT EPISODE. Pinochet showing he’s actually good in the Mic, great MJF/Page face off, fun hardcore match with Hobbs/BB and good progressions on the way to Revolution. It flew buy in the best way. Quote

Yeah, who knew he had it in him? It reminds me a bit of when AEW signed Christian, and people were rather down on it. He’s ended up being one of their best ever signings, and while it’s far too early to consider Ricochet as being at that level, I’m finding him enormously entertaining on a weekly basis. It felt like it was done on purpose, Penelope grabbing the chair and all that is just odd. Rosa's annoyed people backstage more than once, even if she hasn't done much wrong? Quote

That really is a dilemma. I felt like we saw more of Cole and less of the other two until they were back together. I'm not a big fan of Cole but he is easily the best of the three so I dunno if that's preferable to them all in smaller doses. Honestly, I just don't know who backstage thinks this act is working and what any of them have brought to the company. Strong is fine in-ring but a hundred people could fill that spot. Cole had some moments with MJF but the entirety of that angle dragged down the AEW Title and MJF. O'Reilly's spot could be filled by a wardrobe door. Somebody please give ROH a TV deal and insist that exclusive access to Undisputed is the number one condition of the deal. Pretty please. Quote
CDM Posted February 20, 2025 Posted February 20, 2025 Haven't watched aew in a few weeks. Had a little break from it. I thought grand slam was really good. I thought all the matches were very enjoyable and glad to see Tony storm main event it. I'm glad undisputed kingdom are back together. For me they just work together. For all the critism aew gets for me the wrestling is still great. I have started to watch wwe. The storytelling is very good and the character development is much better than aew. But I just don't find the wrestling as dynamic in general. But each to their own. Quote

Even Mox and Copeland caught up with everyone else. Really effective stuff. Even the Thunder Rosa/Megan Bayne thing was enjoyable in that 1995 way, watching people try to sabotage and make each other look like dickheads. I don’t buy for a second that Megan didn’t know what she was doing. It’s such a funny old business. It’s like momentum is a finite thing. Just as AEW started picking up steam again, WWE has started to stumble. Revolution looks potentially incredible. Quote

Had aew kept up the standard that it had going into their second year and wwe had carried on the way it was with Vince in charge its possible aew may have taken them over in the ratings. One thing I didn't realise was wcw was way behind wwe before they beat them in the ratings. I thought it was always close but it wasn't. So aew could have done the same. I don't want aew to become obsessed with ratings though personally. The fact that they aren't a limited company means they don't have to obsess over it. If they did it might not be the same aew.
