The Wrestling Channel is 20 years so the internet tells me.

I have gotten some good constructive advice from some of the more intelligent posters on the TWC forums

? You're WELCOME Herbie ?

It's sad that there's not been a proper home for World Of Sport since the demise of TWC.  I know various efforts have been made to winkle those tapes away from ITV but there is just SO MUCH good material that has a huge potential audience.  Imagine all that captured in HD and properly cleaned!

TWC came along just at the point of my wrestling fandom evolution into an insufferable forum-dwelling smart mark. It felt like a dream come true to have a channel dedicated to such a niche interest at that point. It definitely helped broaden my interests and educate me as a fan. I miss having anything like that now.

Got one question about Ring of Honor on TWC (Mainly from 2005 onwards) was it almost it's own unique clip show or was it basically just matches from shows put together?

From what I remember, the main TV had matches from different shows put together, and then on a Sunday night they’d sometimes air entire shows from the first few years (but never quite up to date so that you’d still want to buy the DVDs, which I did)

Yeah, from my memory there wasn't much order to the ROH stuff. At times it was the few shows they did on some tiny network using footage from the first 3 or 4 shows. Then they would show either a full hour or random matches from anywhere between 03 and 05.

Very different times but I gave up on ROH after 2 or 3 episodes when the consistency went out the window and I couldn't follow anything.

That one's got to be up at the top with these (and Colt Cabana's has got to be down in the sewers).

I very much equate it to the era of CNX/Toonami, with stuff like this to promote cartoons and anime:

This Jack Evans promo made him look like one of the coolest wrestlers on the planet.

Then you watch one of his matches.

I was doing my usual procrastinating before bed and stumbled upon this. The video is a little dry but holy crap this is hurculeon effort. Fair play if this chap is any of you lot.

I would pay significant money for this box quite honestly. As odd as it sounds, my brain would really appreciate a little Raspberry PI box that downloads wrestling shows and runs them for me on a real schedule in some mad simulated TV broadcast. If I miss them, I can't access them. If it can have a channel for UK Gold, Dave, Kerrang and a wife hidden Babestation I could really live in my own bubble.
