Members SuperBacon Posted May 11, 2024 Author Members Posted May 11, 2024 Had this earlier which is a Cafe Da, a Vietnamese iced coffee that uses condensed milk. It was banging. Eldest had this apple, citrus and passion fruit tea which was wonderful as well. Bento Factory in Winchester if you're ever there. Gorgeous place. Quote

It’s a shame this is a UK forum, imagine if someone from Vietnam was on here to tell you the best way to have this, and which brands to look out for. Shame. Quote
deathrey Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 My sister is visiting this week and there is a new Vietnamese cafe opened in Birmingham so that's at the top of my list to visit, the pastries they make look amazing. I'll be trying those along with my first Vietnamese coffee so will let you know my thoughts Quote

Not sure if I've tried their root beer. I do remember the black cherry flavour being pretty incredible. IBC root beer is the best. It used to be available at the American stores. Sadly, it seems to have disappeared from the UK. Quote
Merzbow Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I think the blue Mogu Mogu is now my favorite, not the other lighter bubblegum blue though.. it's got a very cheap tasting flavor. The ice lolly thing was good, too. A light and refreshing grape flavor. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted June 15, 2024 Author Members Posted June 15, 2024 God, strap in. Toxic Waste Lemon & Lime Sour Slushy Phenomenonal! Got this in B&M for my youngest and should've got more. We had it on a super hot day and it did the trick. 9/10 Dunkin Donuts Brownie Batter Donut Iced Coffee Fine, but just tastes like any chocolate milk drink and nowhere near worth what I paid. 5/10 Irn Bru Xtra Raspberry Ripple Miles better than that slush shite I had last time. Still, zero sugar = zero fun. 7/10 Hartridges Pink Rose Lemonade One of the best drinks I've ever had. From a farm in Hampshire so not widely available but if you're ever down here and go into a wildly overpriced farm shop, buy one. Small moment of panic where I thought it was alcoholic and my 11yo had been chugging it. 10/10 Milkis Milk & Yogurt drink Wasn't a fan as tasted just liked cream soda and that's not my cup of fizz really. Glad we got it in the snack box though. From Korea. 5/10 Yuzu Lemon Dot Dot Bubble Tea Again, from a garden centre in Hampshire so not sure on availability but brilliant. The "bubbles" were slightly too light if that makes sense, but just a gloriously refreshing drink. 8/10 Sunkist Strawberry Lemonade Yeah this is right up my street and I'll definitely be buying more of this. Had a Watermelon one as well which was alright. 8/10 Radnor Fruits Orange & Mango If you ever see this, buy this! 10/10 Mountain Dew Baja Blasts The original and Tropical Punch ones are really nice 7/10 but the Lemonade one is something else. Like drinking a refresher sweet. 10/10 These were purchased from a brand new shop a 2 minute walk from my office when I'm there, so thats me fucked. They also had the Skittles drinks which look horrific, so we'll be getting those next time. Also tried a Blue Burst Lucozade which was fine, and the Haaland Prime, which was probably the nicest flavour so far, strawberry lemonade I think. I've also had around 100x cans of Coke and Mountain Dew Code Red. Not great is it? Quote

Merzbow Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 If you ever wanted to try that American G-Fuel then Farmfoods have like 7 different flavors, two for £2.50 which is far, far cheaper than what the newsagents charge. I got myself the Sonic The Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot versions, just tried Sonic and it's a really nice Peach flavour, quite subtle for an energy drink. I think the other gaming flavours were Tetris and Mortal Kombat so I'm hoping they taste of Soviet Russia and Blood. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted June 25, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 25, 2024 If you're partial to root beer but on a budget Asda do one called Carter's, which comes in a pack of 6. I remember going to see The Wrestler at the cinema in Vancouver and buying a large draft A&W root beer for with my popcorn. Great times. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted June 25, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 25, 2024 If you have a Co-Op nearby, you might want to try buying a six-pack of San Pellegrino lemon. For some reason they're ringingh up for £1 this morning in ours but I don't know if it's just our local or everywhere. Still advertised as £4.95 on the shelf label. Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Had one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve tasted yesterday in the way home from work, a blue raspberry Sunny D bought from Iceland, think it was £1-1.20 for a one litre bottle and no word of lie it tasted exactly like a melted Mr Freeze ice pop Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 8, 2024 Author Members Posted July 8, 2024 Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut I've wanted to try this since I saw it on some yank website despite not liking Dr Pepper and while I like coconut, I wouldn't really want a fizzy drink of it. I even had to ask whether they had it as it wasn't on the shelves and matey boy went out the back and told me they'd just come in today, result! Initial impressions were that it tasted just like Dr Pepper but the aftertaste is massively coconutty. Never buying again but it wasn't as horrific as I thought it'd be. 14yo said it was like drinking suntan lotion. Yuuuuuummy. 5/10 "Bacon why on earth would you buy something you 99.9% know you won't like?" NONE OF YOUR BLOODY BUSINESS. A reminder that I'm essentially paid by peoples tax money ? Quote
