Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted October 21, 2023 Paid Members Posted October 21, 2023 My dad is gutted. One of his heroes growing up along with George Best. He’d often tell me about the games he’d go see and how great Charlton was on the pitch. I think that’s only Geoff Hurst left now from the 66 World Cup final.
Members SuperBacon Posted October 21, 2023 Members Posted October 21, 2023 It was only yesterday I saw a clip where someone said "How on earth did he strike a ball so cleanly on those pitches?" And its true. He was one of the purest strikers of the ball there has ever been, and seemingly produced so much power without much effort

He's the only English player left from the final. There's at least Beckenbauer from the Germany team still going.
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted October 21, 2023 Paid Members Posted October 21, 2023 Yeah I meant English player tbf. There’s a few of the German players left.
