Merzbow
I could definitely see him coming in as a biker of some sort, especially with Bischoff having a bike fetish.

They could still do the screw job, Bret can go home for a while then come back for revenge.  American Badass Taker in late era WCW could have been some incredible Wrestlecrap. It would also have been interesting to see what would have happened after the buy out. Does Vince force him back into the dead man gimmick sooner? Does he punish him with the end of the Mania streak? Maybe Vince gets a fake Taker in again?

Didn't John Cena end up with a fairly long winning streak at Wrestlemania. People might have noticed that and gotten behind that.

Maybe they'd have buddied him up with Kronik as a biker gang a la DOA.
The Gaffer
I'd probably have had Benoit show up for his match with Punk at Vengeance 2007. Definitely would have managed a three star review, you'd imagine.
The Reverend
I'd make sure that Magnum T.A. didn't get in his car that night - Magnum would've been a big deal in the mid to late 80's and beyond, in either WCW or WWF. Actually had it being Sting's chin coming out of that shed or whatever it was.
Paid Members air_raid Posted March 14, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2022 My suggestion when I first broached “Wrestling Of Future Past” is that Virgil wins the Rumble 92. As a consequence the WWF goes under long before anyone puts a show on a Monday night. The war doesn’t happen, the boom doesn’t happen, and with WCW the only show in town the whole big time industry is virtually dead by 2000, and all pro wrestling in the US is bingo halls and high school gyms. Infinity Land
I suppose another one would be Austin not getting the neck injury.

The Triple H match shows you show shit it would have been, but with mideon and gangrel out there in place of the outlaws.

They hyped Edge as having a streak going into the Taker match in 2008 but you only get that as “undefeated” on a technicality as he was in a MITB the previous year which he did not win. But he hadn’t been beaten in singles or tag before. But that’s company bullshit.
