NeverYield Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Ever since Inoue called it on, which is what more boxers should be doing at the highest level, I've been massively looking forward to it. Very interesting and intriguing fight, that should be a belter. Naturally, I'm favouring Inoue, the more experienced man at 122lbs for a start, with Nakatani being the one coming up a weight class and had a bit of a tricky first fight at 122 against Hernandez. Nakatani is a hardy opponent though, is the younger man, has the advantage in reach, and is a southy, which is the style that has dropped Inoue before, and Naka has made a point about making sure if he does get Inoue down then he's got to go for broke, so the respect is there and I bet the preparation has been superb. Inoue is a hell of a finisher though when he smells blood and just an all round brilliant fighter to watch, the leverage on his shots and the way he distributes his weight, he's an absolute nightmare, a serious problem. It's a great shame this fight isn't known much outside the dedicated boxing world, however one of my friends became a closer follower of boxing due to watching Inoue weigh people in like a piece of metal and the two lads on the bench next to me in the gym today were on about it. Fair play to Nakatani for coming up and challenging Inoue. I can definitely see Inoue having to get off the canvas to win. Inoue v Nakatani has been on my list of fights I want to see for a while. I hope it lives up to it. Still on the list is Kenshiro Teraji coming up from featherweight to fight Bam Rodriguez. Quote

Gonna have to find a way to watch this or avoid spoilers until I can because it’s still ‘fuck DAZN’ in this house. Are they charging extra for this or is it part of the subscription? Surely even DAZN don’t have the bare faced cheek to whack a PPV charge on for a morning/afternoon show, right? Funny old handshake there. I’m excited for this. Over the last year or so I haven’t watched Boxing anywhere near as much as I used to or would like to. It’s a shame really but I’ve just dipped in here and there for certain fights recently. I follow all the goings on through here, social media and I watch some interviews and stuff but either I rarely actually get around to watching many fights or it feels like you need multiple different subscriptions to streaming services to keep up with everything and I just can’t be arsed with the faffing about or trying to find dodgy unreliable streams and stuff. I’ll track this down though. I love watching Inoue anyway, he’s one of those fighters I make a point to try to catch his fights. And this is a true, rare actual Superfight with Nakatani that felt like it might never happen at one point. Quote

I have the Ultimate package which is pricey but they've ramped up the boxing package recently and it's decent value for the convenience of it. The MMA content has completely fallen off though, guess the interest wasn't there. Quote

Thought he might have turned the fight around late on, but the clash of heads didn't help. Wouldn't mind a rematch tbh. Quote

Definitely wanna see a rematch though. Think it would get going sooner next time now they both got past that feeling out process. Also, Inoue’s walkout was class… Actually wish Adam Smith would’ve just sat that out, shut the fuck up for two minutes and never growled over the whole thing but you can’t have everything in life.
