The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the table was figured out soon after that. Another link to it and next week's card will follow shortly. The average score this time out was 7.5 points, with Grecian being the only participant to get more than one exact score. It was, however, MVP RULZ who was the round's best performer and sole person into double figures. He moves up two places at the expense of myself and joint lowest scorer Briefcase, but that's the only movement this week. Glenryck has cut Rory's lead at the summit by 1 point to 5, whilst Stinky is now cut further adrift at the other end.

That's because he got his D2D wrong as Wigan slightly surprisingly lost at home to Bradford City. Of the other 9 players, 5 rightly disagreed with him, but even some of those incorrectly bet on a draw. Elsewhere, more away wins for Man City, Chelsea and Brechin (how often do you see those 3 teams in the same sentence?) were generally good for one-pointers, alongside home victories in the Rome derby and at Dean Court. A score draw at Selhurst Park and yet another reverse on the road for Swansea proved fruiful all round, but a cup shock in Pitmedden and a five-goal upset of the champions in Italy turned out to be tougher to guess beforehand.

The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the table was worked out shortly after that. The average score was back down to just 6.4 points this time out, with the gap at both ends of the standings widening in spite of the general low scoring. Stinky is still chasing Vegeta at the foot of the ladder, but joint lowest scorer Grecian might be looking over his shoulder now too as he slips into the bottom half. Without the D2D, leader Rory would've even been the best performer of the round! As it was, a sneaky bet against his own side paid off for Briefcast, although only two of the other nine participants actually disagreed with him that Monaco – looking a shadow of themselves from last season – would lose at home to a resurgent PSG.

The other outcome in France was an even bigger away victory for which nobody guessed the exact score beforehand. Another five-goal thriller in Austria was also only generally good for one-pointers at best. Closer to home, late wins on the road for Arsenal and Man City proved fruitful, as did a score draw at Anfield. A huge reverse for Newcastle and more dropped points at Wembley for Spurs caught most people out, but a stalemate at the Liberty Stadium and a crucial late winner for Palace turned out to be easier to foresee.

A further link to the classification and the next set of fixtures will appear in the original post shortly.
