Paid Members Gus Mears Posted November 2, 2017 Author Paid Members Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) Hardly surprising he didn't cash in on it, Keith. Hulk must have been stricken with grief when Andre died the following morning. Edited November 2, 2017 by Gus Mears

Guest Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 He wasn't the first to spot it, but she has one of those alt-right associated frog emojis in her display name, so I don't know how much sympathy I should be feeling.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted November 8, 2017 Paid Members Posted November 8, 2017 That frog isn't an alt-right associated thing, is it? It's been around longer than this recent movement and is just a reference to the 'that's none of my business' meme that features Kermit. Unless I've missed something where it has since been adopted by the Prison Planet crew?
Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted November 8, 2017 Paid Members Posted November 8, 2017 It’s Pepe isn’t it? I’m pretty sure that even the creator of it got really pissed off that his creation became associated with bell ends.
Merzbow Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I'm taking back Pepe the frog! But yeah I don't think she's using that frog emote in the alt-right manner, her profile doesn't fit that either.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted November 8, 2017 Paid Members Posted November 8, 2017 Ah yes, or it could be Pepe too. Forgot about that. Didn't realise it had been associated with alt-right in recent times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepe_the_Frog#Association_with_the_alt-right
Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted November 8, 2017 Paid Members Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) It was something to do with the Clinton crew spreading bollocks about Pepe being linked to white supremacy or some shite during her campaign. Honestly, America. Edited November 8, 2017 by Kaz Hayashi

Honestly, America. It wasn't so much Clinton's crew starting it, or all that much bollocks - Pepe does have a connection to a lot of the alt-right stuff, but only insofar as a lot of the alt-right/Trump supporting types online come from corners of the internet that lean towards spreading shitty memes. Richard Spencer wore/wears Pepe badges, and used to have a frog emoji in his Twitter handle. A Pepe avatar is usually a pretty good indicator that the person you're dealing with is a bell-end. That said, people in the Clinton camp, and reporters close to them, did write interminable think-pieces about why Pepe was a "white supremacist icon", which went as well as any out-of-touch person trying to explain internet culture to a wider audience. That sort of thing probably lead more of that lot to start using Pepe in that context, though.
Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted November 8, 2017 Paid Members Posted November 8, 2017 Oh I don’t disagree for one second Pat and it has been taken on by the bells, however, I don’t think I conveyed what I meant properly. From what I’ve read and watched, the creator of Pepe was pretty pissed off about the fact and it ended up being sensationalised by Clinton’s team, indicating the link to white supremacy, hence it got a lot of airtime and more nobs ‘took it on’. Thats what I’ve at least gathered from what I’ve read and seen. Regardless, I think we can all agree... a picture of a cartoon frog, what the actual fuck.

Yeah I read that last night. I appreciate the gag though. It's the same firm that did Terry Crews Old Spice.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted November 9, 2017 Author Paid Members Posted November 9, 2017 No better way to start the morning than a reminder of this gurning twat being utterly miserable. I actually went 'YES' when I heard his Istanbul restaurant went bust the other month.
