I still find it bizarre watching some of the original events because I am so used to seeing the Silver Vision edits. It took about 25 years for me to know what Ax was referring to with ‘Eliminate us huh?…’ on Wrestlemania 6

Survivor Series 1989 was my first tape. Those covers they had (canary yellow for Survivors, Orange for Summerslam and the white/purple lightning for Mania) were are still are so aesthetically pleasing.

Some bloke (are you here?) has essentially taken a couple of bits from this thread and made a YouTube video about it

I kinda wished he'd asked for more detail because there's more could be fleshed out with regards to artwork, exclusives, Mega Mail, the EU magazine discs, input into the schedule etc. Then he could've got over the 8 minute mark and earned proper money from it. Oh well.

No doubt I’ve talked about it before but mine was too in terms of ones I actually owned, bought with my own pocket money from John Menzies having promised myself I wouldn’t start with anything older than Mania VI having borrowed that and Survivors 90/91/92 from my mate Simon and/or his sisters video shop. My second was Rumble 93, keen to do somewhat of a catchup having learned Bret had just lost the belt in my first issue of Superstars Of Wrestling which actually predated my first purchase of WWF Magazine (the one with the gay Lex cover). I remember vividly my first big haul of six tapes was WrestleFest 93, Invasion Of The Bodyslammers, Rumble 91, WrestleManias Greatest Hits (Sovereign Series) and SummerSlams 88 and 93.

I’ve never recovered from the secret orgy filming from the very end of SummerSlam 88 as wonderfully described by our Ian that time. Blistering.

He literrally just told us that the tapes existed and that he liked buying them when he was younger; without actually showing or referencing a single tape. Like the opposite of a deep dive.

I've posted it a couple of times on here over the quarter century we've been at this but - BritWres feds, stick someone in a shiny silver mask and cape, have him come out to that music, announce from P.O. Box 2240 in Middlesex and call him "The Silver Vision".

You can have that one for free.

(Actually might send this to Evil Uno if Mystery Wrestling come back in February).
