Best things to watch on the network?

Recommended Posts

I'm loving the wwe ppvs from 98-2001! Stellar action, and every match on the card had a purpose! Had a great time watching Summerslam 98

Really hoping they add some more TV shows to the Network (read- all of them). I'd love to have a Raw marathon spanning 98-2003.

I went to have a look to see what they've added, and they seem to be very slowly adding random episodes- I see the Smackdown that Arnie appeared on, which I haven't watched before, that'll be worth a look next.

Weirdest thing there- they're adding Raw/SD pre-shows and Backstage Pass to the archives. Those shows are great for hyping and enhancing the weekly eps, but who would honestly want to go back and re-watch them?

Probably so easy to add them that they might aswell. Can count them as titles they've added to the network, will make the library seem bigger etc.

The tough enoughs would be a good add.

They've got 5 seasons worth, plus the two Nxt's.

Looks like they're going to an episode or two a week format with all the archive shows, so no chance to binge. :-(

Do you know what was neat today? I got a up a little earlier than usual, so booted up the network, randomly chose a PPV (ECW Hardcore Heaven 2000) and watched a quick match before work. Neato.

The quality of the footage was great, but boy, some of those "in house" tunes are complete mood killers arn't they? Simon Diamond entourage coming out to elevator porn music did utter zilch in regards to hyping me up for his 3 way with Guido and Whipwreck.

Anyone have an idea of what the final subscription number was? I remember 350,000 being batted around as the trail signup, but I wonder how many eventually became full paying members.

Watching an old raw, is the manhattan centre the same as the Hammerstein ballroom? Or just in the same building? The raw set up looks smaller then where the ecw one night stand ppvs were done and ROH shows too

Main Event is now going to be shown live on The Network every week at 1am Wednesday UK time in the leadup to Wrestlemania. Watched it live last night and no problems with the live stream, so either

A) They've sorted whatever problems they had with the NXT live show last week, or

B) there was fuckall people watching to cause any kind of server problem

The 350,000 was just a guess based on order numbers before they stopped giving them out, I think. WWE are meant to be releasing subscriber numbers the day after WrestleMania.

Something interesting I noticed on the Main Event show. They had the Twitter crawler along the bottom of the screen, and one of the tweets read "Watching Main Event live in the UK". Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only way that could happen through watching the WWE Network? A small thing, but I'm assuming WWE select certain tweets to make the air, and that would show awareness and also zero fucks given that international fans are finding ways to access the Network.

the 'in house' tunes are fucking terrible, i know it's only music but it does generally ruin the ECW shows, music was such a big part of the show. I'd rather watch a scratchy old VHS rip than one of the polished versions.

350,000? wasn't the WWE aiming for a million? or is 350,000 a good number right now?

Yeah I noticed that too. I think they know that people are going to find ways around it, but will be happy so long as they are paying for it rather than downloading illegally.

Not like when TNA mentioned about trending in the UK during a live PPV when the only way to watch was through an illegal stream

Think I watched that the other day, from what I remember Cyrus was banging on about the network, not 'the network' you know what I mean, and said something along the lines of 'ecw will be better once Vince takes over' I'm sure he said 'wwf' too, just beforehand a crowd sign that dais 'wwf sucks' was partially blurred (the wwf text but not sucks).

Not very interesting in the slightest, but more interesting than painting my kitchen

Wasn't it as a million to break even? That must be projected over a certain timeframe, there was no way they'd get a million signups in the first week
