Really? Now you mention it, I totally see the vibe. I lived the original Raid SO MUCH. The second not so much. I knew the Blair Witch director did one (or so I was told) and thought that may have been that one due to the ending shot, I thought it might have been a throw back of sorts.

The third VHS is out. Normally they go onto netflix quite quickly, so hope to see it soon. Talking of anthologies, ABCs of Death 2 is now on Netflix. More misses than hits this time, in fact only a handful of good bits, but it's hard to do a full story in 3 minutes.

Confederate States of America.

It's an alternate reality mockumentary dealing with what would have happened if the Confederacy won the civil war and so the slaves weren't freed, including awesome parody adverts. It's a good watch, although unfortunately the narrator sounds a lot like Ray Stubbs.

Just watched Dallas Buyers Club on Netflix. Highly recommended. It's reminiscent of Breaking Bad, and I mean that in a good way.

It's great, isn't it? McConaughey absolutely blows it out of the park. The last half hour or so is really touching as well.

Aaaw, he was one of those faces I always liked seeing pop up in cheesy action films.

Anyhow, last night I watched Holy Water. A tale about some broke Irish guys that rob a van full of Viagra. Linda Hamilton's in it, looking old.

It's a little predictable in places, but it's got plenty of laughs.

Watched Warrior but all the mumbling from Nolte and Hardy were the only things spoiling a great film.

I really enjoyed that movie but agree with you. Every time either one spoke (particularly Nolte) I had to increase the volume as I hadn't a clue what they were saying.

I watched end of days.

I liked it, not a great Schwarzenegger film next to his prime, but then those days were long gone by 99. I enjoyed it. Fun enough as a throw away light action.

I am a sucker for anything Faustian though, so having that vibe helped for me to be fair.

I watched Bonnie and Clyde last night. I deliberately lowered my standards going in. I know how groundbreaking it was at the time of its release but was worried its impact would've worn off. Thankfully, it hadn't and I really enjoyed it. A great story with acting and dialogue to back it up - exactly what I want out of a film. Call me stupid but how do you describe how a movie's shot? As in the lighting, colours and type of film used? However you do, I'd give B&C 10/10 on that basis, some lovey nostalgic hues in a lot of the scenes.

For some reason, I watched Mean Girls and Bad Neighbours the other night. Alone. I need to get out more/a girlfriend. Actually, Mean Girls is ace and pre-crack Lohan was my biggest crush so you can let me off for that. But I don't have an excuse for Bad Neighbours. Rogen and Efron. It was shite but I quite enjoyed it. Sorry.

About to watch The Outlaw Josey Wales.
