Yeah, Nog has developed pretty solid takedown defence to be fair. That's one thing being thrown in with wrestler after wrestler has done good for him.

He stuffed Rashad's takedowns, he stuffed a fair few of Phil Davis' in the early part of their fight as well. Nog has good defensive wrestling now. He also used his jab well a lot of times as Rashad was trying to get in range to shoot. The old GSP-Koscheck strategy.

It wasn't a good fight but as much as Rashad looked bad, Nog deserves more credit for the win. Nice to see him getting it on here but I think a lot of fans will allow Rogan's overly negative spin on Nog's performance to shape their opinion.

It's great that Nog seems to have finally found a way to deal with wrestlers but I hope they give him a striker now. I think they'll have to actually because Nog's pretty much fought every wrestler at 205 in a row.

Give us Nog vs Shogun 2.

I think he'd beat Forrest as well. When Nog can let go with his hands and he's not fighting tentative to defend takedowns, he's a big threat. I think he'd stop Forrest. Would be a good fight.

I think they might throw Glover at Nog though. Glover will need a fight booking soon and they both just fought so the timing works out.

Personally I'd go with;

Nog vs Forrest

Glover vs Bader (I want to see how Glover looks against a good wrestler)

Rashad (if he stays at 205) vs Vera

Rashad (if he drops to 185) vs Franklin

Shogun vs the loser of Hendo/Machida

And either the Hendo/Machida winner or Gustafsson (if he beats Mousasi) for the next title shot. The guy who doesn't get the title shot can welcome Cormier to 205.

Crocop talks The Reem...

"I wasn't surprised by Silva's victory at all and I had believed he would win. I don't want to come off as a smart-ass or say I knew it all along, so I'll explain why I'd believed so. First, Silva is a big tough guy with a huge heart who had demolished Fedor and he needs no better reference than that, and Alistair hugely underestimated him and belittled him with his arrogant statements, so this mobilized Silva in the best possible way. Second, Silva is a natural heavyweight, and Alistair - for the first time since way back in 2007, when he began to gain huge weight - fought without the drugs he had used constantly for years, including testosterone and all the other shit that goes with it."

"Watching the weigh-in, I saw that his muscles mass was nowhere near his usual, he had the weight, but he wasn't nearly as carved out and defined, since he couldn't take anything because he was watched by the Athletic Commission. This also reflects on the psyche of a man who's been using stuff to increase his strength, endurance, pain tolerance and aggressiveness for years, and now there was none of that. Alistair is an excellent fighter, but he still owes that excellence to something that's dirty and unpermitted, and, in the end, very dangerous to health."

"I don't think he was concerned by that, he wanted success at any cost. And the third thing is, Alistair had behaved so arrogantly that someone needed to put him back in his place. His belittling of Silva was repulsive, saying that after beating up Silva he'd go for the belt, and at the weigh-in and entering the arena he acted like he invented the fighting sport, and he's been behaving with so much arrogance lately that I'm glad Silva put him back in his place and taught him a lesson! Congratulations Silva, from the heart!"

The last one is very logical, I totally agree.

I can get behind Vera vs Rashad and Lil Nog vs Griffin as well, the latter I think would be a win for Lil Nog. The former it depends on how motivated Rahshad is.

Franklin vs Rashad makes sense as well.

Glover vs Bader would underwelm me, but then again anything with Ryan Bader underwelms me.

What about if Mousasi beats Gustafsson? Who do you think he should fight next?

Hmmm, didn't think of a fight for Mousasi. Who's left? Winner of Davis/Vinny? Although that would be a step back coming off a win over Gusty.

Actually, if they could get Nog vs Forrest booked for May, Mousasi vs Gusty is in April, so I'd have Mousasi fight the winner of Nog vs Forrest around Sep/Oct.

Well, that Overeem knock out might be my new favourite knock out of all time. Even more satisfying than Henderson knocking out Bisping, I was fucking overjoyed watching BigFoot smash him to bits. It couldn't have happened to a more dislikable, cocky prick. Putting your hands down and not respecting your opponent is cool when Anderson Silva does it before winning spectacularly. But to do it and then get knocked the fuck out? Hilarious. I've never liked Overeem, and always thought he was a bit of a smarmy twat, so it's been great watching him come into the UFC and ruin his reputation by putting everything he'd done previously into doubt. Everyone knew he was gassed to fuck, but people clung to the idea that he'd never tested positive. Not anymore! All he's done since entering the UFC is make himself look a complete goof and put a big question mark over his entire Heavyweight career; pissing about with tests, running away from commissioners, getting caught, talking complete shit at hearings and then looking noticeably different and ultimately losing in what you could realistically argue was the first fight where he was irrefutably forced to fight clean. I love it.

I enjoyed the show overall. Another good Flyweight fight in the opener, a great showing by Maia that has got to push him up to the top of the division, and the main event was great too. Fuck knows what's up with Rashad though. Never has a man looked less interested in earning a title shot. Anderson must've been fuming afterwards, watching who would've been his most lucrative opponent look so shit and unmotivated.

However, even worse than the Little Nog vs. Rashad fight fight was Rogan, who was more annoying than I ever usually notice. During the Rashad fight, for example, he was moaning about eye pokes and complaining that there must be something we can do to stop them from happening. Genuine question: what the fuck would he suggest? I can't think of a single way to improve upon the gloves that are currently in use.

Like most, I scored the main event three rounds to two for Aldo. And like most, the prospect of Aldo vs. Pettis makes me jizz my dick off. That's definitely the fight I'd make next.
