digforvictory Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 The idea of 100,000 people being there as Austin returns for a match with Brock Lesnar in his home state of Texas, his first match in 13 years. It's just too good to be true surely? The last few minutes of the podcast where he seemed to go into character as Stone Cold were just so brilliant. It was like that WWE13 game advert a few years ago with CM Punk.
Guest Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 After 2 years of listening to Austin talk stepping in dog shit, tommy the tomato plant, mullah the wonder dog, woodpeckers, rats lifting weights, Ted Fallor 361, shroomsteck , his boring as fuck wife, redneck island and all the other at the ranch boring podcasts, to see that switch flicked and THE stone cold Steve Austin re emerge, was worth it. Throwing in the stipulation that would allow for lots of smoke and mirrors made it sound like that was a set up. If lesnar is booked on the podcast, it's going to be an angle.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted June 3, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 3, 2015 I love Austin's bullshit shows. Like Ian said, he's one of the most charismatic men in the world, so he gets away with it. He can talk for virtually a whole podcast about trying to hold in a fart while he's at the gym and I'll still listen to that before I listen to JR talking to Bret Hart.
Paid Members Linus Posted June 3, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 3, 2015 Austin's regular podcast is not for me but I love his Network specials. This one with Heyman was awesome. The inevitable Heyman autobiography is going to be off the charts.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted June 3, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 3, 2015 The Jericho episode with Kevin Owens is really good. He seems like a super cool guy. Cool hearing him talk about his son being a big Cena fan, in light of their current angle. Some interesting stories about the Developmental set-up too.
sammorgz Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm sure I read before that Jim Cornette has a podcast. If that's right, what's it like? Any good?
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted June 3, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 3, 2015 No. Its the worst podcast on the internet. Its hearing AIDS.
sammorgz Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 No. Its the worst podcast on the internet. Its hearing AIDS. Poor Corny. That's quite the seal of approval.
Paid Members herbie747 Posted June 3, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 3, 2015 I'm sure I read before that Jim Cornette has a podcast. If that's right, what's it like? Any good? It was good at the start & when he had Bolin on; first 15-20 episodes or so - but it's fucking tiresome now, as is Bolin when he pops by. And I love Cornette - but I only really listen now when he has a good guest. Alice Radlay (his co-host) is a bit annoying - a bit of a try-hard.
NEWM Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Brock has to invade the set when Austin interviews Taker. Deck them both at the end and tip the set over, Paul Heyman dragging him off, realising he's stirred up some shit but quietly confident Brock's man enough for them to get away with it. I love it when he tips stuff over.

To me its that she comes off like the many up their own arse know-it-all types I was around at Uni, the inflection of her voice just comes off as condescending and obnoxious and she doesn't compliment Cornette at all. She might be a lovely girl personally, but its just the way she sounds. That Conrad guy on Flair's show would be a much better fit with Corny.

I think Austin has Hogan coming on soon too, so maybe get the Hulkster to talk about how Lesnar beat the piss out of him etc. Be well rubbish if nothing happens after that promo from Austin.
Paid Members Benno Posted June 5, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 5, 2015 Cornette's show is fine with the right guest but Alice Radley is the worst. She got the boot from the other MLW shows but Cornette kept her around for fuck knows what reason. She's been a wrestling fan for about a week and it shows - not that it'll stop her from trying to correct the guests on wrestling history.
WyattSheepMask Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 For anyone who hasn't got the network yet for whatever reason, the Steve Austin Podcast with Paul Heyman is now up on PodcastOne
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted June 9, 2015 Paid Members Posted June 9, 2015 Who's keeping up with the best worst podcast in the world, Talk'n Shop? Without giving too much away, "Do you leg cock?" had me in pieces this week.
