He got a huge pop, had a top match with Kurt Angle and won in a manner that had a built in storyline over whether the Tazzmission was legal. The next night it went tits up. Angle should have gone to Congress to try and get the result overturned or something, bleating and complaining whilst Tazz smashed the fuck out of Crash Holly or Joey Abs. Instead, Kurt lost to The Rock and Tazz did nothing. Come No Way Out, when they should have had a submission match or something, Kurt is getting more gold than Mr T and Tazz is being buried. He should be having a go at lesser known/less active posters first, paying his dues until the moderators deem that he is worthy of going after the prolific names, the neck and hands if you will. I could probably have worded that better, it would have been easier to just call him a cunt. Hey, that was easier!

Two blokes who had very little value at the time and they were about a foot bigger than him. Winning by DQ against the Boss Man in 90 seconds and getting a kicking off Albert post match a month after that class debut was about it for him. You aren't coming back from that in a hurry. Remember a feud with King involving JR also which led to Raven returning to the company.
RJ Impact Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I think Tazz might have faired better if it wasnt for the Radicals, his submission,suplexy style was the same as there's but there were four and a group so had more to work with and ofcourse you could argue they were better than Tazz etc. If used better after the rumble he could have slipped into the IC/Euro 3way at mania, Tazz vs Y2J vs Beniot vs Angle would have been great.

Same as the nWo. When the fans started cheering for Hogan, they just stuck Hall and Nash at the back of their ideas sheet and concentrated on a Hogan face turn. Tazz had the size thing going against anyway, so a group of wrestlers debuting from WCW was the kiss of death for him. Even though Malenko and Saturn weren't used that great, it still took up another few slots on the roster and relegated Tazz even further down. The roster was absolutely stacked in 2000 as well. I have an odd fixation in what certain babyface vs babyface matches would have turned out like. I used to have loads of them with my Hasbros between all of the permutations between Crush, Tatanka, Bulldog, Tornado and Bret. Yes, Bret and Davey both wrestled Tatanka and Crush after they turned, but as I say, I'd have liked to have seen back and forth, split crowd matches between them. Apart from Bulldog/Hitman, which happened, obviously. I also had a strange desire to see Bam Bam and Kamala team up to wrestle Demolition or the LOD, a serious hard-hitter between babyface Crush and heel Adam Bomb, and spunky babyface 1-2-3 Kid against devious heel Mr Perfect.

RJ Impact Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Tazz got surprizingly over during the invasion, being Austins whipping boy got him some sympathy and If I remember he got a good pop when he briefly stood up to him, again there's no way he could have been used more then the roster was massive, but he did have a nice underdog team with Spike which got them gold, I also liked his match against Maven in his Debut straight after Tough Enough he looked genuinely proud of him.

Tazz wasn't the new thing for long was he? What was it, 2 weeks? It's a little bit like Tensai returning/debuting on the same night as Brock Lesnar returned.
