Minor news items that don't deserve a thread

Muslim was a reasonably safe bet for a Butlins baddie. It's a popular holiday destination for EDL families. They were just unlucky that this time, the middle class bloke slumming it happened to spot the show.

Using baddies for the Guardian-reader audience would be a fools errand at Butlins. Muslim babyface and Spitfire as heel would go down terribly every time.

Who are the villains that the scum class hate as much as the Owen Jones types? Banker and politician gimmicks are easy ones for the adults, but a six year old isn't full of rage about expenses claims.

"Gay" and "foreign" have long been easy shortcuts for small promotions to use on one-off audiences. If they can't do them anymore, what are the cheap heat gimmick options left?

I think there's mileage in an act called "The Junior Doctor". Naturally he starts off as a babyface but as he goes up against the Authority the crowd start to turn on him. I'm not sure how accessible it would be for the types that are happy to sit in the pub all day watching re-runs of only fools and horses, but the Guardianistas would be all over it like a Quinoa salad.

Got it. Paedo. No racialist aspect whatsoever. As long as he's a white paedo obviously. Could be subtle or obvious. If you want to hammer it home, just have him wear that "Mr. I fuck kids" T-shirt from the Inbetweeners movie. Or if not, maybe something more subtle like "I stole Maddie".

Merchandise sales might be sluggish at best, but Jimmy Yewtree is definately somebody we'd all love to hate (apart from the post mania Raw crowd, they cheer the ones they normally boo, maggle).

A lout (a white lout obviously) interrupting a segment where we honour our troops. His music can hit during a minutes silence, he can hit a veteran over the head with a poppy wreath and a squaddie can come in and spear him to a massive pop. Everyone would love that.

From what I've heard he had a Saudi Arabia flag, not an ISIS banner. Granted he's portraying a Muslim but so are a few other workers on the UK and worldwide scene. As far as I'm aware the guy in question is also genuinely of Saudi descent. Every holiday camp show ever has some kind of UK vs the World match on it.

The Guvnor Mickey Francis would have the bloke portraying the Undertaker also portraying a Nazi salute giving German. That was a bit uncomfortable.

Why am I thinking about CM Punks story of Heidenreich being considered for a 'Nazi frozen in a block of ice' gimmick?

It's because of Butch's post, above yours, talking about The Guvnor Mickey Francis' penchant for having the bloke portraying the Undertaker also portray a Nazi salute giving German. That's what's making you think of the Reich Cube gimmick. It's that post.

Did I dream this, or when Heidenreich left the LOD, did Road Warrior Animal drop the face paint and pads and start dressing like Mad Max in a singles run? Did this happen or was this an idea I had one night and it just formed in my brain as something that actually happeened?

It happened. He turned heel on someone who I can't remember after Heidenreich's release around late 2005, and stuck around until 2006. He dropped the Animal from his name (to avoid name clashing with "The Animal" Dave Batista), and just went by The Road Warrior. He even had a banner up with all the other wrestlers at WrestleMania 22!
