GavinSAFC
I really like Stardust. As a singles wrestler he could be very interesting I reckon.
MichaelMush
At least as Stardust he has a character that the kids can get behind. I can't see Stardust being involved in any huge angles but he's got a look that will sell merchandise with kids like Kofi, Rey, Sin Cara. If Goldust is retiring then a Mania match would be a great send off.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 23, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 23, 2015 I think it's a little unfair to say he's no good without the Stardust character. He was originally very entertaining as "Dashing" Cody Rhodes.
King Pitcos
He was good as Grotesque Cody Rhodes as well, but when he's just A Wrestler Cody Rhodes, he's total Curtis Axel territory. Edited January 23, 2015 by King Pitcos
The King of Old School
I'd say there is little to no chance of Goldust vs Stardust happening at Wrestlemania.
Glass Smash
I don't see why not. They could even bring Dusty in as peacekeeper between the brothers during the feud which of course would probably end up with him acting as the referee in their match. With a which side is Dusty on kind of story.
Yakashi
As good as they are, or aren't in some people's opinions, neither of them are stars. I just can't imagine the writing team, with all the pressure of mania, being arsed to come up with a storyline for a match with two jobber boys that 99% of the audience don't care about. MichaelMush
Jobber boys? They were tag team champions last year and appeared on quite a few PPV's. I'd agree that they won't get a spot at Mania but they are not jobber boys. I wouldn't say that 99% of the audience don't care for them either. PSF
Goldust must be a cert for a Hall of Fame spot in 2016 too. More deserving than 90% of the people already in there too. Absolute legend that deserves a send off good enough to reflect his contributions to the company over the last two centuries.

King Pitcos
Yakashi, you're right, but... They put Wade Barrett vs Miz on the WrestleMania pre-show a couple of years ago, Goldust vs Stardust could fit that spot. The last time there was a proper midcarder singles match on Mania (both full-time wrestlers without any WWE/World titles to their name) was Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy at WrestleMania 19, I think. Paid Members JNLister Posted January 23, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 23, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if hinting at retirement was just Goldust's way of having another go at wangling a Mania match with him and Stardust,.
