I mentioned this a bit ago on here, but its strange to think kids around the age of 7 or 8 will look at the "WWF" like we did when we would read the company was once called the "WWWF". There is a whole new generation of kids who didn't watch anything pre-2004. That is depressing to think that there are people about who dont know about the WWF. We are now by default the bitter fan from back in the day wishing it was back to the days of Jay Strongbow and Fred Blassie.

More proof, if it were needed, that the WWE's name change hasn't been noticed outside of the wrestling bubble. TO the layman, WWF=wrestling.

Good...

WWE is a terrible name. Still can't believe that was the best they could come up with.

For anyone who wondered what happened to Snitsky;

Former WWE Superstar Gene Snitsky is starring in Manhunt, an upcoming film which is produced by Suzanne DeLaurentis and directed by Jay Lee. KayfabeKickout.com provided the following press release for the project, which you can read below:

Gene Snitsky, who wrestled under the name Snitsky with WWE, has teamed up with Los Angeles-based producer, Suzanne DeLaurentiis, and famed director, Jay Lee, for the upcoming movie 'Manhunt'

The movie has just been nominated by the Horror Society Movie Awards in the category of 'Most Anticipated Film of 2013'. 'Manhunt' is about Buck Severs (Gene Snistky), a world-wrestling champion that has been down on his luck for the past three years.

After a family tragedy and a major injury in the ring Buck decides to return to "Bro's Weekend" with his three best friends and try to put some perspective into his life. Buck learns a little too late that the weekend will take place on a Wildlife Preserve that has been closed for 40 years (a densely forested no-man's land of no laws, no rangers and no rules).

Unfortunately for Buck, he finds out that on the preserve lives a wild man, a feral and inbred killer whose one pleasure is to hunt the humans that dare to trespass onto his domain. It will be up to Buck to find the fighter within himself if he is to survive the weekend, and if he is to win the ultimate wrestler versus psycho killer mountain man winner - takes- all.

Gene was a member of WWE from 2004 to 2008. His debut with WWE started a feud with Kane that had epic repercussions.

Gene started his career as a football player at the University of Missouri and then had a brief stint with the NFL's San Diego Chargers before making the jump to professional wrestling full time in 2004.

After retiring from wrestling he's been seen in several television and movie roles and is now a health and wellness expert helping people across the country.

Gene is represented by Eclectic Media Productions a national PR Firm.

King Kong Bundy's views on current Wrestling.

http://youtu.be/ww8RrNX7SxM

Such a bullshit statement in regards to Bundy as well. When Bundy brought that arm on the back of his opponents neck, it used to look like he smashed them in two. Bundy was awesome in his day. He used to cut the ring in half. He'd stretch his arms out and look like a proper giant. Its one thing being a big man. Its another being a big man who made his size count. Which Bundy did.

They should have went with World Wrestling Championship Wrestling, like I suggested at the time.
