Vamp
I'm trying to persuade myself not to buy this game and to save the money. Its difficult.
Paid Members JNLister Posted September 17, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2013 The day the game arrives, my wife is out all evening. Situations like this are *exactly* why the Women's Institute was created.
Guy Bifkin
My game has been delivered. To confirm, my game has arrived. Â Just have to negotiate what will probably the longest afternoon in the office ever.
Steve Justice
Last night is all a bit of a daze. I was ridiculously tired before hand having not slept well on Sunday night (stupid anxiety). But I made the trip out and once I got home and installed it (15 minutes on my PS3) I managed about an hours play. Â <-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler I thought the opening sequence/mission was a good way to introduce the mechanics and buttons. Very similar feel to GTA IV & RDR but a much smoother transition when going in and out of cover. Â I enjoyed the first proper mission with Franklin and his mate (forget his name, but found him very amusing), and it didn't take me too long to get used to driving. One of the problems I found with IV was the view from behind the car and not being able to see well in front of you. This seems to be fixed in V. Â Once I got all that out of the way, I started what I was wanting to do before bed. Visit Grove Street, and drive around the out skirt of the map at full pelt to see how long it takes. I started at Grove Street and finished back at my save house. It took me about 20 minutes. Â The city seems bigger than the map suggests, but I haven't had chance to explore properly yet. My eyes are stinging today, but can't wait to get home and bung it back on. Â EDIT:- Also, I had no texture problems nor any draw distance/refreshing problems. Something I got on IV in some areas of the map. Â [close spoiler] ");document.close(); Edited September 17, 2013 by Steve Justice
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted September 17, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2013 It's reminding me a bit of Saint's Row. I'm not sure about this...
Loki
My game has been delivered. To confirm, my game has arrived. Just have to negotiate what will probably the longest afternoon in the office ever.  Just picked up a copy from Tesco, no problems. By 6.30 tonight I should be up and running.
SteelEdge
Played the first couple of missions as Franklin and I'm enjoying it but I'm yet to get anything above Silver for mission grading. Do you get less money for missions if you don't pass it as a Gold? I think that could get rather annoying.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted September 17, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2013 I queued like a bitch last night at Game with my deposit already paid. My friend called me while he was atty the front of the queue in HMV andasked if I wanted a copy, so fuck the deposit. Then realise HMV were charging
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted September 17, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2013 Unsurprisingly the Argos directly opposite my office is sold out. Looks like I'm going to have to put a little more effort into getting hold of this.

Rey_Piste
I was given a text this morning that I don't need to get into work today, so now I'm sat around bored shitless not making any money. More annoyingly I can't cancel my Amazon order now, otherwise I would've driven over to Tesco to try and pick up a copy.

SteelEdge
First really cool moment. Went up in my pre-order-bonus blimp, flew around the map during a sunset with Pure Shores playing on the pop music station. Looked gorgeous and the song was the perfect accompanyment
Slapnut
About this install disc nonsense, do I actually have to install the first disc to play the game, or can I just play the second disc like every other game?
