TheShowOff
Remember when Power Slam would report highlights from RSPW and F4W board. Didn't they do this one as well? If so, does anybody have the issues to scan the quotes? That could be good for a bit of a time machine chuckle to see how opinions changed over the years to wrestling. The King Of Swing
Didn't someone send a letter or two of in bitching about the UKFF? I think that may have actually been when I first read about this place.

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2014 Fin is back in website form. Probably for the best. You dont have to pay for his musings and they are at least up to date. He's spot on about Jericho. http://www.psmag.co.uk/updates/51/What-s-Going-Down-Part-One.htm
The King Of Swing
Fin treating Wrestling more like an online hobby is probably better than it being his actual job, I wouldn't be surprised if being obligated to put a magazine out every month/five weeks played a part in his poor attitude in it's later years. Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted August 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 9, 2014 I guess you'll have to wait for the whizzkid spods in Silicon Valley to invent some kind of online engine that allows you to search for words or phrases, and have a repository of related information pulled up for you. Â Don't hold your breath though, that's some real hovercar shit.

TheTagRope
http://ukff.com/topic/101884-the-ukff/ Â I should state for the record that we at The Tag Rope Magazine accept all UKFF members, especially the bullying hypocrites and ones with pompous attitudes. Phil_version_1
My its been a while.... Â Just wanted to add a thought as I was genuinely sad to hear that PS has ended. No matter how people feel about Fin Martin or the magazine past or present, I have many fond memories of the magazine over the years. I was a reader since issue 1 and even wrote in a few times, plus before the age of the internet I used to run up massive phone bills listening to the 'ps hotline' (remember that?) to get all the Raw news. Â Being a grown up father now, I find it hard enough to find the time to keep up to date with wrestling news and powerslam especially in recent years was a nice little update each month. 20 years is a good run for any magazine and looking back over the years PS has some the greatest wrestlers of all time feature in interviews, my particular favourite being the Brain Pillman one in the early years. Â Goodbye Powerslam and Fin if your reading, thanks for the memories.
vealster
I never knew what RSPW was - still don't. It was a newsgroup called rec.sport.pro.wrestling I think most of the people on it were American
King Pitcos
I've got a vague memory of when I first had regular, proper internet access trying to find RSPW because of the Powerslam mentions, and I never could.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 13, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) Me neither. A lot of those who were on RSPW and Prodigy chat got into the business. TNA had a podcast last year on their website with Borash, Bob Ryder, Bill Banks and Dave Lagana who discussed the mid-to-late-90s internet boom. If you were an internet fan in the mid-90s you did one of two things. Set up a hotline or worked for WCW. Even like Mike Tenay and Mark Madden were hounding the old RSPW groups. Reading Power Slam's old bits from RSPW, it sounded fucking awful. Edited August 13, 2014 by IANdrewDiceClay
Paid Members JNLister Posted August 13, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 13, 2014 It was a Usenet group rather than a website. You could access it via a website (Deja News till 2001ish, then Google Groups) but that wasn't widely known. Instead you'd need special newsreader software to get to it.
