Paid Members eugenespeed Posted February 25, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2014 Been a member of this forum for 10 years now, do I get a testimonial? Â No. Â Oh okay then!
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2014 I am so fucking sick of how shit it is to browse and post on this forum on my mobile. What browser do other androids use? I use Chrome for everything else and Dolphin for the forum because chrome can't handle font sizes properly for some reason. Â And Dolphin is fine for reading, but still a bit shit for posting.
Steve Justice
I stopped using Chrome when I was having problems with the font sizes too. It was especially problematic if there was an image in the post too. I now use Firefox and it works well.
Paid Members SiMania Posted February 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2014 Chrome is fine for me on galaxy s3. We could really do with a mobile skin.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted February 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2014 I use Chrome on my phone but barely even bother trying to post on here with it, it's way too fiddly. Can just about manage to read posts with it.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2014 Tell you what.. just trying outb reading in landscape instead for the first time, and it does make it slightly better...
Steve Justice
I had to move to Firefox on my laptop too because of this forum. The sacrifices I make shouldn't go unnoticed imo.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2014 Almost anything it's possible to do in landscape on my phone, I do in landscape. It's much quicker to type (just use those well-trained gaming thumbs), plus I guess I'm just used to reading wide instead of narrow.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2014 You can't Swype type in landscape so I am flipping back to portrait for typing.
Steve Justice
Download the 'Google Keyboard' app and use that. You can Swype type in landscape on that.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 27, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2014 You can't Swype type in landscape so I am flipping back to portrait for typing. Really? What phone have you got? I can use Swype in chrome on my Galaxy S4 and I could on my S2 using their crappy pre-installed browser.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 28, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Sorry, I didn't mean it doesn't let you, rather that the screen is then too wide to Swype with your thumb, and you'd have to use your forefinger, which I find uncomfortable.. Â Also the letters are then so far apart it defeats the purpose because it's slower. Edited February 28, 2014 by Chest Rockwell
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2014 Oh I see, yeah you're right. And when you post in landscape the keyboard covers most of the screen so you can't see what you're typing unless you zoom out on the page. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 28, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2014 Quick question.. did you screenshot, upload in photbucket app and then open the app to grab the link and then paste it in to your post? Â Or is there a quicker easier way to do that all in one move without having to flick about?
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2014 Yes, but not with the Photobucket app- just with the website. I don't know of a quicker way, but I hope there is because that was a bloody faff.
