Just calling Orton a psycho while his name is put next to Sid's reminds me just how shit at being a psycho Randy Orton is.

What? He's fucking ace; well, was, at least. He's better at being just pure evil, though.

Yeah, Orton's a nasty piece of work sometimes, but Sid was mental. He just had that killer's presence. Orton might murder your family, but he'd sneak down your chimney, pillowface them, leave and smirk to himself. Sid would boot every fucking door down, scream for you all to come downstairs, then one-by-one throw you into things; the wall, the telly, the fire, anything, until you died. And he'd piss himself laughing the whole time too.

Some of you peeps are mental, never mind Sid!!

Orton only ever has a decent match when he's in there with someone as good or better than him. Also, his matches with Batista (who is about the closest thing to a 2009 Sid) are always boring as fuck.

Therefore - Sid Vs Randy Orton would more than likely be up for most boring match of the year, in contention with all of Sid's other matches, if he were to return.

Sid was washed up and shit in 1999. It's 2009 everyone, seriously!

Mybe it's more of a damning indictment of the current WWE than anything else.

A guy who was considered pretty average in 1999 would be considered pretty great nowadays.

So do we bring back Kwee-Wee and The Artist from old WCW to re-invent the Cruiserweight Division??

Chuck Palumbo and Mark Jindrak for the tag Teams?

C'mon, wrestling may be in a downer right now, but bringing back waaaaaay past it, not-that-good-in-the-first-place guys like Sid will do nothing.

For those that remember him, a Sid return would be great - for about a week. Then, you'd hear a longer promo, watch a crappy match and say "Oh wait... it's Sid isn't it. I forgot".

I did the same thing in 1995 when he returned as Shawn's bodyguard. Right off it was "WOW, Sid's back and he looks just as big and bad as ever". Then he started actually wrestling and cutting promo's again and all the shittness came rushing back to me.

He's like The Warlord back in the 80's. Purely based on how he looks, kids under 11 will think he looks the fucking man. By 12 they have realised he can't do a damn thing and is actually rather lame.

The truth is, in recent months WWE have signed both Nigel McGuinness, and the guy some would say is the best technical wrestler in the world, Bryan Danielson.

And really, does anyone care?

If either of them showed up on Raw tonight, would anyone really give a toss?

If Sid showed up on Raw tonight, what do you think the reaction would be? Not just on internet forums, but in the crowd at the arena?

Even kids who have never clapped eyes on him would know that this guy is someone.

Thats all that matters.

Fuck, great lineup. I hope for the sake of the promoters bank account that everyone below the Briscoes is paying them to work on the card.

Seeing as they haven't made their debut yet, I'd imagine that many don't care.

By the sounds of things, nowhere near what you expect.

And precisely two minutes into his first appearance they'd realise that this someone can't do shit apart from squash jobbers in 60 second matches.

At least Danielson, not Nigel because he's shit, has a chance to become someone the crowd care about because he actually has talent.

Thats all that matters.

The thing is, and no disrespect to those guys but they lack the 'aura' and 'charisma' to be BIG stars and wont fill 20 or 30,000 seater stadiums. It is very true that it doesnt matter how many moves you can do or how technically proficient you are its all about star power

Warrior

Austin

Hogan

Rock

Nash

Hall

Savage

Sting

Foley

Road Warriors

Andre

and yes Sid

all these guys had what you would call a limited moveset (regardless of wether they could do millions more) when they performed and yet they got over and made $$$$ purely on the basis of look, and charisma. These are names that will live on in wrestling throught its history, unfortunately the likes of the 2 previously mentioned its doubtful they will.

it not necesarily fair however its like in the moves (certianly the 80's) you had the likes of Stallone, Willis, Arnie pulling in huge blockbusters with limited acting chops whilst other, more talented actors didnt!
