Still really loving the Thundercats line of comics from Dynamite despite recent issue delays due to Diamond going out of business and a change over to a new distributor 

They’ve recently announced that the Lost side series is ending after issue 10 which is both disappointing but exciting given the current angle in the main series. They also have upcoming a new one shot for Cheetara acting as a bridge between her mini series and the main one, a one shot on Lost’s Pumyra and one on Panthro

They’ve also begun, brilliantly, a kid friendly cross over series with the PowerPuff Girls, issue 2 of which came out this past Wednesday

Just found out that Silverhawks is finishing on issue ten too. Disappointed about that as I preferred it to Thundercats, but can see that series just not having the audience.

I thought I’d branch out from my usual Marvel/DC comics and try some other indie titles. I’ve read some of the above mentioned Thundercats and enjoyed the first few issues enough to now try and track down the rest. I gave up on Terminator after two issues. Transformers is a definite highlight and the current TMNT is good fun too. News From The Fallout from Image is wonderfully atmospheric. Even though my knowledge of it is limited to the Wachowski film, Speed Racer was a surprisingly good read. Blood & Thunder is still keeping my interest, but Exquisite Corpses (despite a great first issue) has gone rapidly downhill for me. Last but not least, Battle Beast is an absolute blast. Never read Invincible, but that’s rapidly moved up my to-do list now.

Have they done anything related to TigerSharks?

Nothing yet.

Super7 keep on saying that they're going to do Tigersharks figures to go alongside the extensive Thundercats and lesser Silverhawks Ultimates they've produced, but no sign of them yet and it's been a slow and difficult year for them so I do wonder if they would ever do them.

I started reading a comic called Deprog after getting a recommendation and it's pretty great if a tad edgy, the basic premise is a former cult member turned detective hunts down current members of assorted cults and deprogrammes them over time. The first page starts with a little bit of cannibalism just to let you know what you're getting in to, it's very "woke" as the kids would say though and most definitely comes from a woman's point of view. One for any fans of Image's Lovesick or it's recent prequel.

Mike Richardson, the founder of Dark Horse has been kicked out, fired by the private equity group Embracer. One of the most important people in western comics, took so many risks in publishing darker, edgier and more artful comics on the mainstream and also is a major reason why manga took off in the US and here as Dark Horse took a gamble in localising so many titles in the 90's.

Apparently it's all down to Embracer wanting to change up the strategy away from comics and in to other kinds of media and products, sad stuff.

I don't think they'll ditch them entirely or anything, just far less focus and more farming out a small core set of IPs to games, TV etc. Still shit either way, although Dark Horse did survive the 90's comic crash partly by selling IP's like The Mask, Time Cop and Barb Wire to Hollywood, it's just that they kept with the comics and even took more risks.

I got a years subscription to Marvel  Unlimited about 4 months ago and I've read everything I signed up for. Anyone got any recommendations of great story arcs or series I should read?

The original Thunderbolts run, and Superior Spider-Man. Don't want to give too much away about the former; the latter is a brilliant arc of how a dying Doc Ock takes over Peter Parker's consciousness, and is determined to prove he's a better hero.

Jeff The Land Shark is cute and fun. Chip Zdarsky's run on Howard The Duck is good. Thanos Quest, The Ballad Of Beta Ray Bill, Squirrel Girl, Great Lakes Avengers, Alan Moore's run on Captain Britain, Chris Claremont's run on X-Men starting with Giant Sized number 1
