I think The Show lead to our Flips getting into baseball and the Mariners. My partner is a Red Sox fan, she got into it via the channel 5 show in the late 90s as it was perfect post pub fodder. I know of a few people who are Red Sox fans because they’re fans of Dropkick Murphys.

Have you seen the Hipgnosis documentary? A few of his have been featured in this thread already. The Peter Gabriel covers always stand out for me. So do the ones for Scorpions but for very very different reasons. Definitely the Kleberson and Djemba Djembas of their output.

So this could be taken as Rowling saying that the Hirschfeld and Gohrbrandt studies and research weren’t destroyed by Nazis (they were, and they photographed themselves doing so) and it’s a fever dream to say they were, or that it’s a fever dream to say Rowling is desperate to uphold the Nazis ideology on gender, which means she wants to exterminate all people not conforming to the Nazis view on gender. The second tweet was in regards to a reply to the above. Someone said that trans people were the first people targeted by the Nazis (they weren’t, the disabled were) and telling her about it wasn’t a fever dream. She replied with something about the bible had a bit about puberty blockers but Leviticus made them take it out” The holocaust denial bit is because a German court ruled that denying any book burning is an act of holocaust denial. I’m sure that Rowlings many lawyers would argue the case that she meant the fever dream referred to her wanting to exterminate gay and trans people, hence the retraction. The court also ruled there isn’t the evidence to say trans people were targeted because they were trans. The trans people executed in the holocaust were executed because they were homosexual, Jewish, disabled, and/or prostitutes.

Hopefully prison or a terminal illness. Preferably a terminal illness whilst in prison.

Didn’t want to clog up the Twitter thread but this account, Legal Gengar goes after the online grifters and their financial irregularities. Initially it was one person highlighting Jack Monroe, now the account has been taken over by a team and the scope has been widened. Their current assignments are “Britains kindest racist plumber” James Anderson AKA Depher CIC and Simon “Men Behaving Dadly” Harries. They’re looking into the fundraisers they’ve started and the complete lack of accounting as to where the funds have ended up. Next on their list are Supertanskii and Rachel Swinson. The former being the darling of thirsty centrist dads and the latter a left wing blogger who constantly hates asking for donations on a weekly basis. The slow reveal of Depher to the public is wonderful to see, I hate that prick with a passion, and the Men Behaving Dadly stuff is shocking. Looking forward to the Tanksii stuff immensely as well. Let’s talk about the grift!
