  1. They're also absolute nobheads, and quietly put their prices up in the days before their 20% off sales. Am I bitter and jealous they made a business out of it? Yeah, and what of it! 😆
  2. I made kebabs the other day with a lot of red onion and a LOT of cayenne pepper and paprika. With no exaggeration over the last 3 days I reckon I've had around 50 shits. I'm pooing right now and if you've read a post of mine since Wednesday, I guarantee it was written on the bog. We're going for a takeaway curry in a minute. Been nice knowing you all.
  3. I think they're both great yeah, but I genuinely (and this is not just me being BONK! horny) struggle to concentrate on films with Ana in them, as she is just so ridiculously good looking 😆
  4. And as I always maintain, there is a world of difference between "fit to work" and "ready to work" Two completely separate things.
  5. Just seen someone say Boris Johnson pulled that stunt with the envelope/Voter ID yesterday on purpose. Thinking about it, of course he did didn't he, ffs.
  6. If he doesn't do a flapjack at least once in his career, then what is the point of anything?
  7. The Engels of Eccles*? *Yes I had to look that up for the basis of a really poor connection/link/"joke" It's 20 minutes away though so whatever.
  8. Never realised that was Melle Mel rapping and Stevie playing harmonica!
  9. Can we nail them all up? Him, Brewdog James, the man who bans phones in pubs...
  10. Ironic seeing as listening to him makes me feel like I'm on Ketamine.
  11. I loathe them, but they are good for random stuff like that and my 11yo too has a load of Torino stuff because of it!

    woke.

Bee Movie erasure and I won't stand for it.
  13. I'm off to bed and see whether Switzerland still does that assisted suicide thing.
  14. I'll be honest, I reckon my local Labour councillor candidate should find a new hobby. He's on track for 8 in a row.

Rob absolutely nails it here. CBA linking to what Jerry's been saying, but it's the usual bollocks. Still love you Jerry but shut up mate.
  16. Phoenix Nights Without a doubt, one of the very best this country has ever produced. Just an incredibly funny show. Kenny Sr is by far my favourite. "It's nearly hanging off" 🎵 Just rip with me, and rip with me and tear with me right now 🎵 Spaced Probably the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen this all the way through, and my favourite time by far. It's a really warm show, and has a lot of heart. Mike is hilarious. I cannot stop saying "Oi ooooooi you lucky peeeooopleeeeee" in the style of Tyres though, much to the annoyance of my kids. Skint One of my very first jobs was in a pawnbrokers, so when this first aired in mid 00s, I of course watched it, and randomly came across it all on YouTube so am rewatching. It's a tough watch, but Vernon, the Brummie Big Issue seller is the most watchable person ever. The whole series should've been him, and I'm pleased to read recently that he's still alive and doing well.
  17. Completely agree and it's very naive and shortsighted for the new owners to believe they could ever have reached those heights again to be honest, so I don't really have any sympathy. Lots of businesses have booms which can't be replicated. The original incarnation of Progress was, if I'm being honest, a really good example of clever marketing. Yeah I'm with all of you and cannot stand anything self branded "punk" but they completely captured a huge audience with that aesthetic, and fair play to them.
  18. Oh ffs. Agree with the South Park game. One of my mates bought it and we were so excited to play it, but it was incredibly bad and we maybe played it 2 or 3 times before he traded it.
  19. I've been a bit depressed recently and devoid of all inspiration to really do anything at all, so a lot of these are just comfort watches I've seen loads to make me feel better and things I can lie in bed and watch while wanting to be anywhere else (don't worry, it passes until Spurs play) Best first watches: Anatomy Of A Fall was absolutely fantastic. I did groan when I saw the running time, but I was engrossed all the way through. If my husband had played that fucking P.I.M.P. cover over and over, I'd have definitely chucked him out of a window (not a spoiler don't worry) The Greatest Hits was a fun time loop romp, not going to win any awards but its well told, has a novel "loop" part and Lucy Boynton is gorgeous. Blackberry was brilliant. I love a good, serious, tense biopic or whatever, so this was right up my street. I was very worried I wouldn't be able to separate Glenn from Dennis, but I did (one "IDIOTS! SAVAGES!!!" style outburst aside) and he was unbelievable here. That Julliard training paying off! Jay Baruchel great too. The Zone Of Interest was another gorgeous Glazer film. His balance of story with genuinely innovative sound and vision is an art. Was in bits at the end. Shit? Well Bruce Almighty was all-shitey (waheeeeeeeey) and Gassed Up was a FAM! BRUV! FAM! MANS! CUZ! load of bollocks (decent soundtrack though) Air America was rubbish as well. Rewatched all the Star Wars (not Episodes I to III as even a completist like me has limits) All 3x original trilogy films are 10/10 and I think TFA is the best one of the recent lot. Just such a fun romp, which I dont get from the others, but I do enjoy them. Wild Style is one of the most important films of my formative teen years and a massive reason why I love rap so much. Its a brilliant capture of the still new culture at the time. Yes its cheesy and a bit amateur, but I think it's a really important cultural touchstone. Trainspotting is the best British film ever and I've always held a massive soft spot for About A Boy. High Fidelity watched again? IMAGINE MY SHOCK. Nearly half a year in and not even hit 80. Rick I've failed you.
