  1. Genuine question, is there form for them lowering prices if they don’t sell properly? I’ve seen some seating plans and it looks like there are large gaps due to this ridiculous pricing structure. Is there any precedent for these seats being sold more cheaply in future?
  2. At 35 and with a skinny fat average build, I can comfortably say that looking at Kyle O'Reilly makes me think maybe I could've made it as a wrestler after all.
  3. Yeah. He would've probably gone to the Olympics again if they'd released him a little earlier. So at least some good has come out of him maintaining a few more weeks' employment.
  4. Hilariously, he actually brought this on himself as Byron had already given them the last question. But Jéan-Paul Levesque had to go and show off in front of his French exchange family didn't he? So he pulled the billy big bollocks and said they had time for one more, only to be dealt an actual question rather than a softball one about them having the momentum of a runaway freight train. The Demon Headmaster rimless specs had already come off, so he was comically unprepared. Great show for what it was; a B-show elevated hugely by a hot crowd as anticipated. 'Il es vraiment phenomenal' has been running around my head since the main event began. Really amusing stuff. It'd be like them having the Clash at the Castle main event be Cody Rhodes vs. Darren Agadoo. The women's tag match though, what the fuck went on there? I was watching with a couple mates and we saw all sorts of stuff start to go on. I wondered aloud if this was only falling apart because we had an idea of what to look for and whether it would be noticeable to a less nitpicky audience. What is very clear, though, is that there really is a good reason Jade is in a tag team with Bianca instead of going straight to singles. I wonder if in hindsight they wish they hadn't had her first title match be with a still relatively green Belair against two women for whom English is not a first language. There was one point where I'd swear she simply laid down to allow a pin.
  5. Outside of the main event, I had little to no interest in this show until last night. All changed now. Love a hot crowd. Get hyped!
  6. My son is 6 and, while he's aware of various different wrestling characters (he loves John Cena even though he's never even really seen him) I've never sat down and watched a wrestling show with him. Partly because of concerns for content, partly because of concerns for his general future if he adopts this as an interest. However, knowing this show was live and easily available to watch, I stuck it on at about 6:30pm while he was getting ready for bed. We were greeted with Authors of Pain vs. Bate & Dunne, whose tag team name I'd prefer not to use because of its crapness. Anyway, the match started and as I watched, I saw him becoming more and more engaged. Watching every move, flinching and bobbing his head, doing little 'yeah' noises when the faces got a reversal or hit a move. And I thought, perhaps this is the ideal match to draw him in. Distinct face/heel teams, even down to the clear size difference between the two. Bate's Butlins-esque offence, including the aeroplane spin which he found hilarious. The hot crowd who were reacting to absolutely everything with fervour. It was just so much fun, and all for a random TV tag team match! I know Dunne and Bate have their detractors on here and I get why. However, seeing a non-cynical pair of eyes view the action here was a joy to behold. As the show continued, he grew a real affection for Orton, Owens and LA Knight. Then the main event segment was advertised at which point he said 'ooh look Cody Rhodes!' It's easy to see why Cody is so popular and his old school babyface act seems to draw in exactly the sort of audience WWE should be after. So when his mum said it was bedtime, I had a choice - send him off upstairs, disappointed but free of further exposure to this sublime, ridiculous form of entertainment, or pipe up and doom him forever. Maybe in years to come I will rue the day I said "there's only twenty minutes left, let's just let him see the rest". For now though, I'm glad I did. Watching Cody's entrance in front of this crowd? He's hooked. Absolutely hooked. Pray for me, guys!
  7. Only a few hours left and it’s back at the top of the iTunes chart. The official charts’ Twitter even started following Joe!
  8. As mentioned in the TNA thread, Scotsman Joe Hendry is currently putting a bit of a social media run together lately and has become a bit of a meme. Well, now Joe's released his theme music as a purchasable/streamable song and is currently (as of Monday 29th April) top of the iTunes charts! The idea is, of course, to get it as high as it can on Friday's BBC Radio 1 chart rundown. I know the charts have become significantly less important over the last few decades, but given how popular Joe has been with his musical moments, I thought it worth starting a thread to give some awareness of the campaign as well as to talk about Joe in general. So, UKFF, the question is... do you believe in Joe Hendry?
  9. 'The Leaders of the New School' was a stable in IPW:UK which consisted of Marty Scurll, Paul Robinson, Nikko Brixton and Zack Sabre Jr. Illustrious company kept there, no doubt. Didn't you have a really bad neck injury or something? I have a vague recollection of such a thing occurring years ago.
  10. Speaking of entrance themes I noticed this match in the lineup: If the former doesn't come out to this on repeat, they are really missing a trick:

    woke.

    Has it come to this?
  12. I have a half-arsed theory that All In did great numbers, so they tried again with WrestleDream and it didn't do what they wanted it to do because the interest wasn't there as it would be with a Wembley show. They didn't put World's End on either, if I recall correctly. Shame ITV Box Office tanked as I'm certain snagging AEW must've been a big part of their strategy for that. They had at least one PPV on there, I'm sure.
  13. I hope the cunt starts something just so he falls flat on his fucking hair dye stained face.
  14. He’s selling his shares because they don’t represent what he wants from a business any more. He’s never wanted to own a professional wrestling company.

    Bluey

Watched it this morning. I liked it... I didn't love it. I know, it's just monkeys singing songs, don't read too much into it. It was still incredibly emotive, and I did cry a lot, as did my wife. The kids loved it and ultimately that's what matters.
