Rob Edwards
^ It's an okay early Verve impression, I guess.
Rob Edwards
Also any pop song w/ shoegazy sounds is always going to get compared to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF96gNl7O5A with me, and it doesn't come within a billion miles.
Paid Members CuckedByMenry Posted June 10, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted June 10, 2009 . I heard this and thought it was a return to form, although the other songs I've heard from the album suggest this is a one-off.
Shane O' Mac Version 2
Not a 2009 song, but I'm getting into HIM as of late. Welcome To The World- Kevin Rudolf This one is 2009, not a masterpiece but contains a catchy chorus.
Paid Members JLM Posted November 13, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted November 13, 2009 This isn't a 2009 song and this thread is ooolllld, but I want it back. Â Mos Def feat. Slick Rick: "Auditorium". Produced by Madlib. I think it's fucking brilliant. Slick Rick and Madlib are the starts of the show but the whole thing is grand. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 13, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) Oh, cheers for posting this. Â I keep meaning to check out that last Mos Def album purely on the strength of knowing there's Madlib beats on it, but never got around to it (probably partly because The New Danger was so awful that it almost tarnished my love of Black on Both Sides). Â Anyway, now I see it has Slick Rick, and one of my favourite beats off of Beat Konducta Vol 4. Blaow! Â edit: My song for the day - Â Â I fucking love Megasoid production.. Brilliant synths. I've been listening to their two free mixtapes an awful lot again recently. There's a link to the site from the video info. The second tape features a nice remix of Lollipop btw, JLM. Also all the tracks can be downloaded separately unmixed in the form of Speed Knots Vol 1 & 2, which has a couple tracks that didn't make the mixtapes. Twatters
Â Tought i'd post this in here. It's Lostprophets cover of Prodigy's 'Omen' from a Radio 1 Live session.
Parkamarka
The Tallest Man on Earth - The Gardener  My favourite song of this year, although it was technically released in 2008. Jaunty-slash-mental song about burying potential love rivals in the garden.
kendal mint cake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlNqmrIjWug...PL&index=24 Â Burial - Untitled Track 1 Â An atmospheric slice of dubstep, really layered. Â Vito: Any chance you know anything regarding the 'Beep' sample? I've just read via the youtube comments that it was added by Kode9 to dissuade bootleggers from ripping the track... But it goes so well with the tune that I refuse to believe it.

kendal mint cake
Glad you enjoyed it Baz. If you like that I'd recommend Moth, Untitled Track 2 and Archangel by the same artist. Especially Archangel, I think you'd really like it.  Edit: Here you go:  Burial and Four Tet - Moth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Czl6-4lrr6Q  Burial - Untitled Track 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IITyr65PBJk  Burial - Archangel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hI4bSCy9iE Edited November 14, 2009 by kendal mint cake

What am I, his mother?  I know nothing about that track other than it being really good. Burial's still got it! Can't wait for the second album.  Back On-Topic:  Today I have been mostly listening to , who are Korea's answer to Slipknot. SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read I wish the whole video had consisted of them dancing while in the long-sleeved shirts, shorts and knee socks look from the beginning of the video. I've watched the video about fifty times so far and I swear it gets hotter every time I see it  Edited November 24, 2009 by Vito
Parkamarka
tUnE-yArDs - Fiya  Ignore the horrible alternating CAPS and lack of actual video and bear with this, it's just a girl with a ukelele and some cheap-ass recording software, and while it starts like a pretty restrained bit of folkiness, the song - and her voice - builds into something pretty awesome.
